o... I'm feeling quite violated because I think my neighbor saw my boobs this morning. I was up this morning before work making coffee and I wasn't wearing anything but my panties. The blinds in our apartment complex are vertical. He seemed to be walking his dog just right infront of my kitchen window, and I was bent over…

This happens to people with all kinds of pain. My advice to you would keep a stock pile of them. Fake a flare up at a random time if you have too. I know that sounds terrible, but just justify it in your mind as socking up for an emergency, which is totally flipping legit. Just don't take them for fun later on so they are…

You could hang out in your room or outside. Hang out in the kitchen. Hang out anywhere he's not. If he starts following you around tell him you and your guest need some privacy.

Is this a good foam roller? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gold-s-Gym-12-Foam-Roller-Orange/28132592 How would I do an exercise for the thigh? Not the outer thigh but the spot below your booty and above your knee.

Because I'm new I'm still learning what all this stuff means, but it should be worth noting that I don't lift the maximum amount I possibly could during these workouts. I've never had the opportunity to see what the maximum amount would be. Barbell Curls & Military Press are 3x10 at 37 pounds Dead lift, Squat and Bench…

What would you consider a proper warm up & cool down? I usually like to walk a couple of miles before we start, just for the calorie burn. He always wants to jump rope when were done, but usually I'm looking at the clock knowing I have a lot of cooking and cleaning ahead of me, so unless I'm hell bent on a big burn that…

Hmmm... I just got my Vegetti. I might have to try this.

Oh they absolutely did! For a very long time, especially in Europe, it was their main form of cooking before the advent of stoves, and even then stoves weren't common among the peasants. It was just made of cast iron and hung over the fire all day instead of being plugged into a wall. :flowerforyou:

LOL's me too. No breakfast, (coffee, of course) than leftovers or eggs. I cook one time and one time daily only. And I try to cook enough then so that it lasts at least a few more days worth of leftovers.

BTW, thanks to you all for the advice.

I will definitely get a foam roller and somehow cram stretching into the schedule. Should I be stretching before the workout or after? Please don't say both. LOL. There is not enough time for tons of stretching and rolling, I'd like to be able to knock it out in 5-10 minutes tops.

I do lift before dinner. So after the workout I have to spend about an hour cooking, then we can eat. Sometimes less. (I'm cooking for a family, not just me.) But that's when I have good proteins like fish, beef, and chicken.

I do take a magnesium supplement and try to eat a lot of bananas, those definitely do help.

While I got you all here... can anyone recommend a stretching routine that will optimize the time I do spend stretching? I've been afraid of stretching myself after a stint this year that I seemed to have irritated my IT band. I know that's completely counter productive, but it seemed like the less I used it, the less I…

Why? Does it have something helpful in it? It sounds good. Sounds like something that would disappear along with the vodka. :drinker:

http://breakingmuscle.com/mobility-recovery/what-is-a-foam-roller-how-do-i-use-it-and-why-does-it-hurt Semper, like this thing? JoRocka, I definitely need to stretch more. It's hard to fit it all in, but I think it would be quite helpful to demand a bit of cardio warm up and stretching routine before we lift. It's hard. I…

Back in the day when I worked out solo in a gym I rotated and it helped. I did arms one day, legs the next, and cardio and abs at every visit. They taught me that at an all women's gym, and it proved to be very effective. I only used machines, though. Now I'm lifting with a barbell with my boyfriend. In each session we do…

Right now squash and onions are in season and super cheap here. I take about a table spoon of coconut oil and caramelize 2-3 onions (add first, cooks slowest), 2-3 squash and an entire freaking head of garlic (add that last, it cooks fastest) to my 5-quart fryer and viola it is so good. The onions are 2lb/$1 and squash is…

:-O It kind of pisses me off that I didn't know that, like, several years ago. Thanks for the tip.
-
Definitely. I'm actually an extreme extrovert and talk to people at the gym all the time if they approach me.

BCAA's like the pre-workout stuff?

I use magnesium tablets. If it gets really bad, an epsom salts bath. If you have a partner, a massage does wonders. You have to take the magnesium daily, to keep the levels up in your body. Also avoid soda pops. It's a night mare, I get it a lot. Especially since I started lifting :-/

Is there even a way to track potassium on MFP? I don't think there is. If there is, please enlighten us!

I usually buy a ton of veggies, and keep them in a basket on my table. Then my focus becomes how to use the veggies. I also buy tons of meat and leave it stocked in the freezer. You'll definitely need a ton of onions and garlic, and squash and peppers are in season so load up on those, too. Yumm... I'm hungry. :-)

Hmmm... I dropped out, got my BA six years later and now I'm also sitting on a fat pension working for the university. High school was way to structured for me. I flourished in a university environment.

LOL Love the internets sometimes.
