Full hour and a half of workout. 45 min walking, 15 on bike, 15 on stair climber and 15 jogging and walking together (trying to jog, LOL.)

When my daughter casually asks when she'll get an upgrade on her tablet and phone after an afternoon of laziness. Um, at this rate, never. Lose the entitlement mentality.

Oh, the battle of the sexes. This one in the picture with me can't wait to practice more and more judo with me. Which would be awesome, except everytime I do judo after a couple of weeks I get a bad injury that makes me not able to exercise (or sometimes even walk) normally, which for all it's good intentions slows my…

There are a million recipes online for egg muffins. If I'm on top of my game I'll cook a dozen on Sunday and have two to eat every morning for a week. The refridgerate and re-heat well, just 20 or so seconds in the microwave. I just store them in a normal baggie and re-heat them on a napkin in the break room. I like the…

I buy used fitness clothes all the time. These wonderful things called washers and dryers make them like new every time I use them.

Yeah, but it would've been a lot more helpful before I Googled it at work.

I can't wait until I can buy fresh zucchini and summer squash again. Come on summer!

Found this while I still had this screen open... Fish is brilliant. V-day is too fancy for chicken, but not fish. And fish is low-cal.

We're having steak and Sprite. We have a pretty disgusting case of baby fever, and I always tell him, before babies, we have to make sure we can afford to eat steak and Sprite several times a week for 9 months because I will crave it. So we're going to have steak and Sprite. And wine and chocolate.

Treat: noun 1. an event or item that is out of the ordinary and gives great pleasure. If you're doing it every day, it's not out of the ordinary, and therefore not a treat. It's just you eating junk food. If you want to do IIFYM and eat junk food everyday, more power too you, but I don't think "treat" is the right term in…

Do you like split pea soup? I don't think it's low carb, but I bought some of those split peas and researched the recipes, and came to the conclusion that I'm just not so sure. Do you have a favorite recipe?

These meatballs: http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/07/87/42/12/0007874212236_500X500.jpg plus a jar of marinara. I add white cheese, but if your kids have allergies to it don't add cheese. (If you're going to be down for a bit, I'd recommend to stock up on these ingredients. They literally last forever or until you're too…

This thread in regards to food and addiction has been reminding me of this article all morning, so I'm just going to leave this here. Speaker Shannon, R-Lawton, said "We must encourage able-bodied people to break their addiction to government subsidies and gain self-sufficiency."…

I feel obligated to tell my best internet story. My boyfriend and I met through mutual friends online, and he decided to move to the area. I thought he was going to date said mutual friend, but it turned out not. We met a few weeks later and have been dating a couple of years now, making plans for the future. It was…

There was a guy that looked decent in his profile pic. It was of his facial features only. When I showed up this dude seriously weighed like 400+ pounds. I don't know who his photographer is, but I need to hire that person because they are a miracle worker. I remember thinking "Appearance isn't everything, I'll have a…

If someone poops and I can smell it. Especially in the unfortunate event that I need to use the same restroom. I won't I'll hold it till I cry and curse them under my breath.

I'm browsing the forum for ideas myself, but I'll share what I started with that works for me. Lots of cardio first thing, 20-60 min. Then after that rotate and do arms one day and legs the next. Do all the machines you can find for each group. I use the machines, but you don't have too. The machines seem less likely to…

PS, I learned that from a personal trainer at an all women's gym. The program is not designed to train you to be a heavy lifter, it's designed to make you look great in the least amount of time.

Grilling and roasting are almost the exact same thing. There are flavor differences, but it's all heat applied to meat. This is why I've taken a step back from the logging in some ways. At some point, it gets OCD or seemingly unhealthy to me. It's cooked chicken. Log it as roasted chicken as per USDA or the package if you…

I didn't find it to be terribly offensive, though.

I read this on FB and loved it.

Okay, here goes. I started this journey for a lot of really good reasons, health, family, an oath I took, etc... but the real driving force was romance. I was done with the singles game. I met my honey two years ago, and now that we plan to move together I feel like I've achieved the victory I came here for. He adores me…

Awe... I think it's wonderful that you guys both share a passion for health. I was/am in a long distance relationship and have been since 7/2013. <3 We talk about food and carbs and sugar and work outs all the time. It's all good, we're both on the same page and all about supporting each other! I'm so excited because he…

Yes and no. My boyfriend and I are both health nuts. So we really pick on each other, but it's all in love. Around the holidays he kept asking "When are you going to cook Paleo again?" and finally I made the executive mommy decision to (as per the man Mark Stinson) add potatoes and rice into our Paleo diets. She were both…
