Hello! I'll be your Oklahoma Buddy! I live in Norman but spend many weekends on the North side of OKC.

Hey guys! Just bumping this so I can easily find it again (sorry!) I just verified my invitation for a week long visit with my sister was accepted. Woo hoo! So excited! Between the advice I found on this thread and my page, I'm really looking forward to impressing her! (Copying from my page for easy access, sorry ladies) I…

I guess I'm 12. But I don't know how to up load a pic. You can see me in the profile pic.

See... I'm just the opposite. I work in an office and do way better on the weekdays then weekend. Mostly because I work a couple miles from home, and go home and eat leftovers or eggs on the weekdays and cook dinner at home. On the weekends I go to the city to spend time with my boyfriend, and out of my natural habitat all…

Lifting causes weight gain from growing muscles and retained water. It seems like you're not losing weight because you're losing fat while gaining muscle and retaining water. It's really frustrating, and hard to accept, but I wouldn't give up lifting, just know that it took a really long time for the weight to come on, so…

I think it does matter. And I hate to say this, but as a woman in my 30's I'm right there with you when I say it... but our dating pool has shrunk tremendously because a lot of great guys are already married. And unfortunately again, there are more women than men. I've dated men from the internet who said straight up "I…

It sounds like she's having her katabasis. Nothing wrong with that. I had mine in June 2012. I've lost about 65 lb and still going since then. Get it, OP!

Last night my boyfriend commented about seeing definition in my back that wasn't there before.

Awe... I was hoping this would be about the Shake Weight.

Leonidas_meets_Spartacus and ThorsMom05 Of course, I'm partial to my own list.

Haha I'm in the opposite boat. My boyfriend bought the Kale and unless it's baked and drenched in salt I'll probably pretend I had a big lunch.

The way I see it, the more women whom choose to gleefully embrace morbid obesity, the better mathematical chances of me finding a great hubby. Eat up, ladies! ***puts on sneakers to go for a jog***

Honestly I gave low-carb (Ketosis) a legitimate try recently. I spent about 6 weeks at under 20 net carbs a day. I was tired, sluggish (that energy boost everyone else gets, didn't happen), foggy minded, weak, constantly hungry, famished, hangry and emotional the entire time. It was miserable. And, I got sick, truly sick,…

I made the best thing last night! I used two tiny peeled sweet potatoes (219 grams). Pre-heat oven to 450 (in hindsight, that was a bit too much). Chop potatoes until very small (I like to make them real small cause they cook faster). Add 1 tsp coconut oil, and a few shakes of Rosemary, Thyme, Cayenne and red pepper. Then…

Mind = Blown I will try this! TY!

This is the best post I've read all day.

Honey, I've been losing weight for over two years now. Yes, it has to be fit in, because weight loss doesn't have to equate misery. In the short term, you'll see a small drop on the scale the next day from dehydration. In the long term, as long as it's not very often or fit into your calorie count there is no consequence.

Not in every case... Cooking does change the nutrition make up, however, in some veggies cooking them brings out even more nutrition, where in others, cooking them reduces nutrition. For example: http://www.healthaliciousness.com/nutritionfacts/nutrition-comparison.php?o=11510&t=11508&h=11507&s=151.00&e=114.00&r=130.00 For…

I either: Weigh it raw and put the raw info into the journal (raw veggies mostly) OR Weigh it cooked and put a cooked entry in the journal (meats, mostly) Not sure why... I guess I just assume that if I start with a raw veggie and weigh it, even if it "shrinks" and the weight goes down, the volume goes down, there's still…

Today my boyfriend txted and said "Do you want to go for a ride in an inflatable boat?" I txted back "Hell yeah! Let's do it!" It might be as simple as that. He might be all about it. You never know if you don't ask.

Oh thanks for sharing! I'm gonna have look-sey at this! It's not too far off from what I'm already doing! Yay!

Interesting thread! I had no idea that was normal, but it seems it is! Good luck with your family! Never a boring moment with children at all. :-) ETA: Also, I've never raised a boy, just one girl. So I wouldn't know. Take it from the ladies that know!
