There's some validicy to that idea (not weighing daily) but at this point it is very ingrained. "Normal" weight fluctuations don't freak me out, but I have big ones, over five pounds in a day sometimes. And they don't drop off the next day, which is very confusing because fluctuaions should do just that, they seem more…

Yep... Carrieous is right on... If there was a way to burn 2,000 kcal in a workout we'd of all done figured that **** out.

The sad truth is some people really, really do want to sabotage peoples diet for their own pleasure. I have a close friend that does this and I can't wrap my head around it. Over and over as the years go by (been dieting over 2 years now) "Come on, one cheat won't hurt, it's on me, come out with your old friend." The few…

All that working out does build muscle mass and burn fat, so you could be making amazing progress with no scale movement (like me!) I know that is soooo frustrating... Hang in there!
-
I wouldn't call that a massive plateau. I've been stuck in the 180's since Janurary. That's a flippin' plateau. But in that time, I went from a size 16 to a size 12 (swimsuit is a 10). As much as I HATE not seeing the scale move, I know my body looks different, tighter, firmer etc... because I have eye balls and can see…

Based of you're ticker you have 17 lb to go. I've learned that the last bit of weight is the absolute hardest to lose. If you're Crossfitting you're likely gaining muscle as fast as you lose fat, which is entirely frustrating because the scale doesn't move. Good luck and keep with it.

Totally inspirational! Wow! You shredded it!

Yes, I would even argue it's common.

My concern is more like "Can they see me staring? Man that's great form. Look how fast he/she is going. Someday I'm going to be like that. I'm even going to get a tan like her too. Oh I'm so glad this cardio machine is facing the pull up bars. I can just gawk at the biceps for the entirety of the 45 minute run, lets do a…

It's profoundly encouraging to see other people's work-outs, successes and food choices. I've been inspired many, many times! When you lose, MFP notifies your friends, when you work out, it posts again. You can see how hard your friends are pushing along and that is very interesting!

Awe! In some ways this reminds me of my bf. He's nuts about not laying anything flammable on burners. (I'd assume this is a reaction from a lesson learned the hard way, he does have ADD and I could absolutely picture him laying something down and turning on the wrong burner and walking away distracted, but I've never…

Yep... I'd recommend to let it go and pick back up when you get home. :-)

Same here.

No... spend way too much money! Do NOT let me shop online intoxicated. LOL!

^^ This! Haha! This whole thread is great!

Ugh. That is amazing. I'm seriously not sure if my attempts to quit smoking have directly effected my plateau. My boyfriend really made a big issue of wanting me to quit, and I want to quit. I did quit for six whole months, but then... well, you know. I usually smoke only 1-2 a day unless alcohol is involved, so I'm not a…

She's not a raw vegan, or even eat a raw food diet or vegan diet at all. She's just interested in the raw food trend, and has been very supportive of my dietary needs in the past, and I'm down with veggies, so I want to play up the raw food thing to be a good hostess.

Wow... the polar opposite of the medical office I worked in where the financial documents were neither organized by date or name, but instead scattered all over the floor in the back room. How am I supposed to locate a document in that? Oh, if I can't find it we should check the storage building across town, you say?

Oh my. Even though we get paid less, working for the state does have it's benefits... ***Twiddles thumbs and continues logging and forum surfing...***

Don't feel bad! It was faster than anyone who didn't run.

18 minutes :-)

65 lb in two years... still going! ETA: F/31/5'7.5 [245lb>180lb = 65lb (2 years) Despite the stubborn numbers, I've gone from a size 24 to a size 12. Loving that!

Likely it will get harder later... but for now... ride your momentum! Don't slow down now because it's going to get harder later. It's going to get harder later either way. Good luck!

Amazing!

Also, if you're 20, likely no loose skin for you.

Bump.

Also, I checked your location because I think in some ways that can make a difference. You're in Texas, where people actually practice Southern Hospitality. This would probably be acceptable in San Francisco or New York City, but you're in Texas!

Posts like this make me feel like not only do I have what it takes to maintain, but motivates me to do more! If she can do it I can too! There's nothing wrong with being Super-woman, and I love to see that I'm not the only one, because here in Oklahoma where most women are "stay at home wives" I do sometimes feel like I am…
