My excuses seem to revolve around "special occassions" -- the Rose Bowl, birthdays, etc... and I go over my calories for the day in one meal.

I tried weight watchers and I hated the points system. My Fitness Pal just uses the information off of labels and in the regular "nutritional information" format.

I've had a skinny doctor who completely brushed me off when I asked for help losing weight and getting healthy. I can't even get my HUSBAND to join me in the weight loss journey. It's just such a personal decision and involves a whole life style change... you just have to accept that some people aren't ready. Meanwhile, you're doing great for yourself!!!

The only thing you have to do in the beginning is be honest with yourself. Put every bite down in your food diary. And then before you know it, you'll notice patterns of eating too much at a certain meal or certain time of day. Then make smalllllllll changes accordingly. I just think that making any big change right away…

No, I don't. But I do count coffee in my food journal. And I do count tea in my water and crystal light (which I drink a lot of). I really don't like the taste of my village water and am too cheap to invest in a filtering thingy.

The best thing about this website is that it doesn't tell you what to eat. We already know what is healthy and not. We're not idiots! But if you CHOOSE to eat that piece of apple pie, you'll see just how much it affects your calorie diary... and hopefully think before you do it again.

Don't closet them! Sell them on eBay. There are tons of people looking for them at a reduced cost for a preowned pair. I have a pair of Danskin toning shoes and love them. They give me an extra bounce in my step and the only time I noticed any discomfort was the first two days of wearing them.

I would have scraped the mayo off the chicken sandwich and skipped the fries. But considering all the other crap that McDonalds serves, I don't think you did too bad! :)

Earlier this year, I went through the same thing. As it turned out, it was inches I was losing, not pounds. Try measuring yourself and maybe that's where the results will show. GOOD LUCK
