Whether or not pregnancy makes you fat is entirely up to you. However, there are much scarier things about having children than a little weight gain so if that's all you are concerned about I'd say you haven't really thought it through. It is good that you are thinking about it though.

I lived on peanut butter toast when I was pregnant with my last kiddo. I have cut way down in favor of higher protein, lower fat things now that I am trying to lose weight but it is still one of my favorite snacks. I will always <3 peanut butter.

Tagging to see replies because I have the very same issue. I feel like my diet is quite reasonable and I eat very few processed foods and still exceed the sugar allowance by at least double. I haven't worried about it since I am losing weight but I have wondered.
