I wish I was a stress under eater! I've had a really bad month. I think I'm going to do yoga or add tai chi first thing in the mornings and see how that helps. I quit smoking and restarted two weeks ago and I want a non-smoking no overeating way to deal with the stress.

I read a thread on this last night and downloaded the book right away. I've had a rough month and found what I've read to be very motivating. I'm going to implement some rules immediately - water after waking and before meals and slowly ease into the others - no half and half with coffee! I'll do that when I run…

I love kale. I want to try these

Has anyone tried this using steel cut Irish oats?

Or...you could find the fun in finding delicious ways to meet these requirements. Google super foods, nutrient dense foods. Try a new vegetable daily and different ways tp prepare them.

I noticed that my sodium counts are up. I think chewing gum makes me crazy. I'm very cranky. I think I need to listen to some hypnosis app daily - I downloaded the weight loss one too. I think all my stress is roiling inside of me and I'm not dealing with it that well. not enough sleep. Blah blah blah

I bumped this yesterday. Someone mentioned a good website on making Indian food and now I can't find it!

Wow! Y'all look amazing! Someday I will have an after photo!

Bump! Great ideas. I'm in a food desert here in the middle of Kansas. I miss California!

I second the recommendation for Rodney Yee

I loved reading all of these! I look forward to the time when I once again have only 1 chin! Mine are: A bit of a spring to my step! Quit smoking!

I've loved reading all these! Wonderful thread! 1. I no longer feel getting through the day is a monumental struggle 2. I feel like my sense of humor is coming back 3. No more tingling in my arms and hands 4. Lots more energy! 5. Wearing a pair of pants that hasn't fit in a year and a half

Way to go! Wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE mine. I think my calories burned with it are more accurate than what I was typing in with mfp.

I can understand some people's confusion as to my gender when I am dressed. However, I had just finished up a swim and was in the locker room completely naked when an older woman walked in. She said oh my gosh this is the women's locker room. I looked at her. Looked down at my rather large boobs and said, oh sweetie. You…

I've gotten so very many messages from everyone saying that they just love love love my profile picture. "dazzling!" "omg! How cute" "incredible!" "is that your cat? Can it really balance on its own tail?"

I bought a scale when I started here after not having a scale for 7 years. I use it every morning, log here once a week and log any loss on the fitbit site. I see it as fully enjoying my scale and I don't let it dictate my mood for the day. It's just one of the happy fun tools I get to play with.

Now I want some kale chips

I felt like it was a big step for me telling mfp how much I wanted to lose. 135 pounds. I told my dad and aunts that I was using this app to track my food but didn't go into specifics really until I had lost 15 pounds. My cousin who was visiting made me get on the phone with her daughter and tell her about it. My aunt M is…

I can so relate. I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

I just downloaded the app! And I will pick up some orange juice. I have 3 packs of cigarettes left. Wish me luck!

You can do it! I turned 50 in march and gained 25 pounds when I moved here to Kansas. I thought being older that I'd have to fight and claw to lose any weight. I'm so happy to find this working and that i was wrong about it being a horrible struggle. I've lost 16 pounds since starting! I did research with the fat2fit and…

I've used fitnessfrog to figure out tdee and fat2fit to figure out bmr. I upped my calories so as not to eat below my bmr. I really think that eating too few calories slows weight loss. I know as a mom that getting enough sleep is a challenge especially after you go back to work. Play with your numbers. Good luck

Very inspiring!

Where's the like button?

I'm doing well today. It's day 2 and I woke excited to do it all again. I haven't woken up happy in months. I even did a yoga dvd. Which I have been wanting to do for a long while. It's been about a year since I last did it. When I went to the nursing home to see my dad he asked me if I lost any weight. It's one of his…

I want to feel glorious. I love the patti smith cover of the song Gloria. The name alone was taken so I had to add numbers so I picked a zipcode. Not mine of course but it's one of the closest bigger towns. Lol
