All the time..saw the same post today actually. Do people have any idea how intelligent cows are..I doubt it. But then they will say anything to justify their eating habits and not feel guilty. My other favorite is when they go on about "humane slaughter" that makes me laugh...the only one who feels better in that case is…

i only cook it in the microwave. Cut in half, place cut side down on a plate and 10-15 min depending on the size will do it!

first off..if you only eat fish : pescetarian I was vegetarian for about 5 years (still ate dairy and eggs) and went dropped the eggs and dairy (and processed foods) about 2 months ago and I have never felt better! I am NEVER hungry and I have been losing weight easier than on any other diet I have ever tried. I am not…

anyone with a basic understanding of biology knows that the first fuel your body burns is carbs...followed by protein when the carb stores are depleted, and lastly fats, drawing from stored fat in the body. You do not burn protein just sitting around. The proteins main function is muscle building and repair, not fuel,…

the government guidelines are written by a bunch of people who are in the back pockets of the meat and dairy industry so of COURSE they are going to tell you that it is so very important. I dont believe anything a government guideline that considers KETCHUP a vegetable in school lunches tells me about nutrition, or who…

I eat a lot of whole grains, vegetables and starchy veggies like sweet potatoes. I am never hungry and I get plenty of protein from my plant sources. I mean you don't have to worry you are getting enough, the typical American eats more protein than they really need. ( and before someone says it...I'm not talking about…

It does not taste like other squash..like pumpkin or butternut... i use it in place of pasta and top with marinara sauce and I love it! It has a slightly nutty flavor to me. The only thing I DONT like about it is it is hard to cut in half to cook!

I am well past the new mom stage...my oldest is 10 and my youngest (twins) are about to turn 5...however I am just starting to work on losing the baby weight. (10 years later...) I'd be happy to be your friend, I have about the same amount of weight to lose as well.

We eat it a lot...I use it in place of rice..make pilaf type dishes with it. It can go sweet or savory. I toss it in soup, use it where you would use meat (like tacos for example) I even toss it cold onto a salad to make it a bit more filling. I cook mine as you would white rice in my rice cooker...super easy to make a…

I was addicted to coke zero in a serious way! I started buying flavored seltzer water, calorie, sodium, sweetener free and it fills the craving for a bubbly drink without the chemicals. I still have a case of coke zero in the garage..its been sitting there un-touched for 3 months!

Never thought I would be able to break the coke zero habit..it was like crack, and I could EASILY drink 6 cans a day at one point... but I am over 6 weeks soda free...I switched to flavored seltzer, it takes care of the craving for bubbles and since it is 0 cal 0 sodium counts as water. Was easier than I thought it would…

Thats what happened to my..I was not allowed to go veg as a kid in the 70's. Parents wouldnt hear of it. You can imagine how much distress it causes them that both my girls (ages 10 and 4) are vegetarian and my son almost veggie..and it was totally their choice! I hear all the time how I am probably not giving them enough…

I usually bring something like a field grain co celebration roast, and if we are at my parents they are pretty accommodating about leaving veggies for me without butter on them. I just need to figure out something for dessert that will make the usual treats not as tempting! This is the first holiday season I will be vegan,…

If you are doing strength training remember muscle weighs more than fat! You could be gaining muscle while losing fat. Plus weight can fluctuate by several pounds during the day...thats why I try to only weigh myself once a week. Just keep doing what you are doing and look for other changes besides weight..like how your…

"and how do you know they dont feel pain too??" plus all of the above including the argument that we put the animals here for us to eat. currently i am tired of all the "carbs are BAD..protein and fat GOOD" arguments. and "meat and milk are GOOD for you"
