I posted this on the main board but thought I'd pop it in here as well! I just weighed and measured myself for the first time since the 17th May when I started my reset. It's all good and I am beyond happy I only gained 2lb, which was much less than I was preparing myself for! My measurements are the best thing: Waist -1"…

Daysflyby - Scooby is about right for me, I have a Fitbit and an HRM and I average out at 2200, Scooby gives me 2289 for moderately active which is right, I do about 4 hours of formal exercise a week plus walking. I would stick with their numbers for now. Keep your chin up.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Also means my cut won't be so low and I am not looking forward to it :frown: More food - yippeee!

Hello, it's nice to see some people from other countries here! I'm from the UK myself. Your numbers don't look quite right to me, I make them: BMR: 1602 TDEE: 2202 -15%: 1872 I used light exercise for that as you say you are doing 2 one hour workouts. It depends what else you are doing during the week though. On moderate…

Also have you set your macros correctly so you are upping your protein? They should be 40% Carbs, 30% Protein and 30% Fat - that made a huge difference to me. Alison

Hi fellow Brit. Hope the weather is as gorgreous down there in Bournemouth as it is here in London! You should be eating your 2048 every day regardless of whether you exercise. As your BMR is 1484 if you burn off more than 564 calories through exercise you will need to eat them to Net your BMR. So on the days you burn 1600…

I feel your pain! It's the squat rack for me so sometimes I have to use the Smith machine which is far from ideal. Assuming you have an adjustable cable column you can do the lat pull down on that, I use a swiss ball to sit on. Strangley I can't lift as high a weight doing it that way, I guess because I am having to use my…

I would say it depends on the type of exercising you are doing. I have both and I find the fitbit is good for walking, running, eliptical type of exercise but it can't work out things like weightlifting or cycling I have to log those manually and I use the HRM for that. I understand an HRM isn't so good at the kind of…

1700 sounds a bit low then, we don't normally recommend going more than 15% under your TDEE which is 1912 cals for you. On that you shouldn't need to eat back exercise calories unless you burn off more than 462 a day - are you measuring those with a heart rate monitor or something? BTW I love your cats, they're beautiful…

 Me too and hubbie who has taken a liking to the happier well fed Alison! I may well do a really small cut, just 200 cals or something and see how that goes.

Hiya I just want to tone up a bit and I think I need to lose 7lb or so but I'm not hung up on numbers anymore which is why I want to avoid the scale! I am going to measure in a couple of weeks so if I have lost inches then I will reassess I think and I'll also try using my HRM again at the gym see what that says. Your…

I'm trying the reset, I think, like you that I am between light and moderate activity though I do lot of walking! I am confused  I'm not too worried as I don't have a lot to lose in terms of inches I would just like to gain some strength and muscle. I love my fitbit, I'm just not sure it's properly picking up my non…

And me, I'm from Surrey. Been resetting for the past 6 weeks! Alison

Hi All, I'm five weeks or so in  and not 100% sure I'm eating enough.... I used the data from my Fitbit to set my TDEE, comes out at 2100, I averaged two weeks of data. Scooby has me at more like 2300. I feel like I have lost weight but I refuse to go anywhere near the scale! and I have been hungry, very hungry…

Yes to the gloves, I have callouses! If possible I would also arrange to have someone walk you through the exercises to make sure you have the form correct if you can. I arranged an appointment with a guy at my gym to make sure I wasn't going to hurt myself! Alison

Indeed, it caused my brain to go into panic mode for a few weeks, I had to keep coming on here for reassurance. I did bloat up for the first couple of weeks which was scarey but since then things are much improved. I haven't weighed myself or measured and don't intend to for another few weeks but my trousers are loose and…

Hi Heather, What we aim for here is consistancy for your body so you want to aim to eat the same number of calories every day unless the amount of energy burned through exercise takes you under your BMR. I ran your figures through Scooby http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ assuming you were 26 (based on your…

Hiya I am set to moderate and am doing NROWLFW so: Monday - 4 mile walk Tuesday - Heavy lifting plus HIIT (75 mins at gym) Wednesday - 8 mile walk Thursday - Heavy lifting plus HIIT (75 mins at gym) Friday - Off Saturday - Heavy lifting plus Circuit training (2 hrs at gym) Sunday - Off Seems to be working well so far!

Hiya I am on day 28 so half way there. Feeling so much better over the past couple of days, the bloat seems to have gone down and clothes are fitting way better! I have not weighed myself once  so proud of that! The scales are in the bathroom but I refuse to get on them, as a once daily weigher that's a hell of a…

I've not found one I liked! I suspect it's not quite the same but I do have the Maximuscle Promax bars in chocolate orange which are really nice. I have them post workout and they actually feel like a little treat. They're around 22g protein each.

As aj_31 says try turning your foot in slightly, it should bring the knee into line better. Also I found doing static lunges at first meant I could control better what my feet were doing and then I moved onto the full version. If you do static ones try putting a couple of foam blocks on the floor for your knee to hit to…

For me my PMS vanished almost overnight! I'd been back and forth to the Docs with it and was almost at the point of trying somehthing hormonal and then I started this and off it went - HURRAH  Isn't it all marvellous!!

Count me in! I've been doing TDEE -15% for the past 2 weeks having been on 1300 cals :embarassed: for the past 6 months or so and watching my weight slowly creep up. Now I think I'm going to go the whole hog for 8 weeks and do my TDEE which I think is 2300, I'll have to double check. I also have a Fitbit so I am going to…

She sounds great. My trainer was horrified when I told him how little I'd been eating. I have adjusted up as well so fingers crossed eh!

Thanks guy's, I'm fine on my carbs so I'll stick with what I am doing. You've been a great help as usual - I love it here :flowerforyou:

Hi Jasmine, What kinds of things are you eating? I know I spent the first couple of days feeling very full as I was sticking to all my low cal stuff and having to eat way more of it. So I swapped things a round a bit and now have Olive Oil rather than low cal spray, higher fat yoghurt rather than the diet variety, more…

Hiya, I'm only a couple of weeks in so haven't weighed or measured myself yet, I'm leaving it a month so I don't panic! So far I have noticed: - Way more energy, I used to be falling asleep at 8:30pm, now I can easily stay awake until 10:30pm. Hubbie is a night owl so he's very happy. - I sleep so much better, I am using a…

Yay! I'm in Surrey, a little town called Worcester Park. Glad to see we're not alone. Alison

I'm new to this too but more than happy to help where I can! Eating 1870 which is really weird at the moment.
