Luckily my office is next to a Publix Greenwise. If I forget my lunch I make a salad at the salad bar.

I tried a bag of the VI protein powder last year. The only thing I didn't like about the VI Shakes was that they don't blend well in the blender with ice. The protein powder clumps up so I went back to buying Biopure.

Wow, you look awesome!!! Happy belated birthday!

Since a serving of rice is half a cup (cooked) I would do half a cup of rice, one cup beans, and maybe add some protein to the mix (chicken or turkey sausage) and some veggies (tomatoes, peppers and onions). Brown rice is somewhat healthier than white rice, but only moderately healthier so making the switch is up to you.…

My husband bought a powerblock so he can lift between gym visits. The weights go from 5lbs. to 125 lbs. Warning!!! Don't buy this if you are about to move!!! It was a pain in the butt to move!!!

Absolutely nothing. I won't even weigh myself until I trade my glasses for contacts!

Sorry, I guess I couldn't hear the sarcasm over the WHINING.

Congrats!

If you have a problem with the food that you are serving maybe you should find a new job? I hate McDonalds, but it is very unprofessional that you are pushing your beliefs onto the very customers that pay your salary. Yes, they are idiots for eating the garbage, but it's not really your place to tell them that. They will…

It's hard to guesstimate calories at restaurants since the size and ingrendients vary in each dish. That's why I try not to eat out unless it is my cheat day. Obviously life happens (such as mom's birthday) so there are situations you cannot avoid. My advice is to try to order a dish that does contain a ton of sauces. When…

MFP says I burn more calories than the elliptical machine reports. I always go with the machine's estimate instead since it is lower and I don't want to overestimate how many calories I am burning.

I would enjoy your vacation and not worry about tracking calories. It's hard to estimate calories when you are eating out anyways. You'll burn off a ton of calories walking everywhere in NY so just go easy on the drinking and limit the late night eating and you will be fine!

At least they were twelve so you can excuse their lack of manners. Last weekend my mother-in-law asked me if I was jealous of my sister because she is so much skinnier than me. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!

I only gained half a lb. which isn't bad considering that I went to seven Christmas parties this month! I did skip the gym last week and feel super flabby, but just went back last night and look forward to knocking off that pesky half lb. by the end of the week!

Working today. After I leave the office at 5:30 my husband and I are driving to the in-laws to go grocery shopping for them and fix up their house before they arrive from DC. Hoping I'll be able to do a little reading before I go to sleep. (Just started reading Bloodfever and it is so good!)

Fit to Run is awesome if they have one in your area. The shoes will run you $150+, but they will fit like a glove!

I count my tea as water. I don't drink iced tea or sweet tea. Just hot water and a tea bag. I usually get the caffeine free kind so there are no calories or anything to log so why shouldn't it count as water?

Try using lighter weights and increasing your reps. You will see leaner muscles and build your indurance. I took a barre fitness class and we used 2 - 4 lb. dumbells and did reps of 30. I thought the exercises were a bit of a joke until I woke up the next morning and all my muscles were stiff and sore.

Protein, protein, protein! I eat lots of lowfat yogurt, chicken breast and fish so that I don't binge on carbs at the end of the day. Carbs are my weakness! Because I know I cannot control my consumption I don't buy potatoes, bread, or pasta at the store. I set aside every Saturday to indulge in carbs so I don't completely…

Avocados and raw almonds. Good sources of fat and protein, but moderation is the key!

Espresso with1/2 tablespoon of Coffeemate's Italian Sweet Cream. Totally worth the 18 calories!

My mother-in-law always gives me clothes that are two sizes too small. I feel it is her way of telling me that I need to lose weight.

I loved mine until I accidentally forgot to remove it from my gym clothes. Threw it in the washer and my fitbit broke. I was able to revive it once, but the second time I threw it in the wash the fitbit was a goner :( I saw the new fitbits are a lot cheaper than the $99 one I purchased three years ago so I may consider…

I flew to Italy on United last year and the seats were so-so. 1st class was twice the price so I stuck with my business class seat, but I did make sure my husband got seats in the "two seat row" so we could sit by ourselves. This year I am flying on Delta to London and I am hoping I will be able to sleep on the plane. Be…

I guess I don't find the joke funny because I wasn't upset about turning 30... I was actually excited! I still get carded for liquor and I don't have gray hair or wrinkles so why should I feel old??? I guess 30 feels depressing when your life sucks, but I have a great job and an awesome husband. In my twenties I ate ramen…

If you are doing a Secret Santa in your office I would keep the gift PG. A tasteless gift could get you fired or make a very uncomfortable Christmas party.

Salad and/or soup. Sometimes leftovers from dinner from the night before.

If you don't have the time and money to go to a gym there are other ways to exercise. Not sure the age of your boys, but you could incorporate family time with exercise time. Ride bikes, swim , play tag or basketball... little kids have tons of energy and run around like crazy so if you can keep up with your boys you will…
