WW has worked for me in the past but I needed a change - this is so much better! Better database for food, i like that you don't get 'extra' points/cals to play with - it means I'm sensible at weekends rather than thinking I can use my 49 pps. I also find the forums are much better on here - I just found a lot of the…

I pop into my local WW meeting and buy some bars - they are around 75-85 cals each and there is peanut dream which is a bit like snickers. The toffee popcorn bar is my fave and means I can have something sweet after lunch!
-
Altho I will still pop into the WW meeting near work occasionally to buy some bars - most are delicious and only around 80cals

Shelbyfrootca - We are going to a South Indian restaurant I will have a look at the menu in a bit and work out the best options! I would have this as a treat meal BUT its only Monday!

Soooooo I didn't find the weekend too bad at all. Did lots of exercise on Saturday and walked to the cinema yesterday so at least I could have some popcorn! Someone on this post said that because its the weekend it doesn't give you the excuse to eat differently which I found really useful. Hope everyone else didn't find…

Ok am updating to keep myself on track - going well so far but all this rain has meant I'm not doing any exercise today! I'm hungry now so will go and have some fruit. Off to see the Avengers tonight but will be avoiding the sweets!!

October when I will be 32! Oh and ideally well on my way by 10 August when I am doing a reading at a friend's wedding.

ha I have 2 scales in case I don't like the number on my normal one! Oh and the scales x2 at the gym consistently weigh me as 4lbs lighter than I am at home. I just am pleased that it's going down!

Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments. I'm just going to find this so much easier than wandering around the supermarket with my calculator! 1 quick question - is it a problem if I go over my protein allowance - I'd think not as I'm exercising but please could someone confirm? Thanks

Thanks. Anyone else take anything?

My aim is to have a healthy BMI which is probably much better than comparing yourself to those around you.

I wish UK sizes were the same as US as an 8 here is a US 4 so its never gonna happen ha! When I have lost weight I'll convince my man to take me to NYC for a bit of shopping and then I can see what being an '8' feels like!!

Ok I'm not dreading the weekend as much as I was after all this good info. I'll report back here on Monday!

Thanks jdub I have accepted! I haven't really decided if 160 will be my final goal but seems sensible at the moment - and pretty far off! I've got to say I do love being tall but when you are trying to lose weight it can be a bit depressing hearing about all these girls who are aiming to be 110-130lbs and are already less…

I'm over from WW too - will add you both and we can try together to get out of the 'points' mode!

Thanks all for your advice so far - really helpful. And thanks to all who have added me too - looking forward to losing and keeping off this weight for good!

Hi please do add me too. I've been doing MFP since Monday and have lost 2.2lbs so far. Have hopped over to this from WW as I think all the free fruit was doing me no favours. I'm in London and looking to lose about 3st.
