  • On two occasions I ate close to an entire KFC family sized meal (chicken, two large chips, chicken strips, nuggets, popcorn chicken and potato and gravy). I must admit now even the thought of KFC makes me feel a little bit sick
  • Bump. I've been trying to search around for some different snacks - this thread is great!
  • Firstly congratulations on coming this far - your weight loss is amazing!! Maybe now that you are closer to your goal you need to reassess your plan?? Sit down and write some mini goals and remind yourself of how far you've come and why you want to get to your goal weight. Hopefully once you start feeling better about it…
  • Ladies I'm an hourglass so I get the pants problem!!! What I've found is the easiest thing to do is buy a pair of pants that fit around your hips and become BEST FRIENDS with your tailor and get the waist taken in so the pants fit amazingly. I haven't found a solution for jeans but if someone has one please let me know!!
  • I've been to weight watchers on and off over the last year and I found myself eating a lot more sweets (biscuits, cakes, lollies) than I would prefer. I did lose weight but once I found MFP I realised that I needed to be healthy not just thin and chips and sweets everyday weren't what I wanted as part of my plan. Now what…
  • I think everyone has their own opinion of what is too thin and also what is too large. I know that even my opinion of too thin changes depending on each and every person but at the same time I keep that opinion to myself. Unless you know everything about someone you're not in a position to judge them - and I make sure I…
  • Thanks heaps! I've re-adjusted my settings I'm feeling good that this will be easier for me to stick to for more than a couple of weeks. And thanks to everyone else for sharing - I'm sure we will all get there (we might just be taking the scenic route sometimes).
  • Thanks everyone it's good to know I'm not the only one with this issue! MFP has me at 1200. I'm 163cm (I realise my goal weight is on the lower side) and I'm currently 64.5kg. Last time I had my body fat percentage checked a couple of weeks ago it was 24%. I am new to this whole losing weight thing - this is the first time…
  • What a tool! Seriously if he's such a big time weight lifter why was he bothering to watch someone else's workout?? Maybe he's got self esteem issues and doesn't like women to see him struggle to pick up his 3kg barbell?? ;) I wouldn't have even dignified his crap with a response, really what is he going to do, hit a…
  • That is so awful that you had to go through that. From your profile picture you look like an amazingly beautiful girl who I'm sure looked stunning when you went out. That thing obviously has his own issues and to make himself feel better he decided to pick on someone else - that instantly shows he has the mentality of a…
  • If I'm adding food that I don't have a barcode for I always check the entry against my calorie king app which has all the Australian calories for lots of those 'eating out' foods and food chains.
  • If you would like to try and drink green tea (from my research it has more general health benefits rather than weight loss assistance) remember not use boiling hot water - let it cool for a minute or so - then the tea won't be as bitter. Also here in Australia we have a brand of tea called Madam Flavour has a green,…
  • My highest was around 70kg (wasn't too fond of weighing myself at that time) my goal is 53kg. Currently 63kg.
  • Completely agree with this! If some of the things people said about thin people on here were said in reverse about larger people everyone would be outraged!!!
  • bump - BROWNIES!!!!
  • Alessandra Ambrosio - she is divine!!!!
  • I'm in a similar(ish) situation. I work full time and I'm studying at uni full time (off campus) do fitting in time for healthy eating and exercise is hard. What I did was make a schedule (which fits in uni, work, taekwondo, training my puppy and seeing friends/family) and I made myself stick to it no matter what. After a…
  • My weights are hardly heavy enough to have to grunt or drop them but I do wonder would people have the same 'hater' attitude if it were a larger, more unfit person say breathing heavily, moaning and sweating all over a piece of cardio equipment? I imagine people would be much more accepting - maybe that's a sign that this…
  • Wow thanks for all the suggestions! Now I really have no excuse for not reaching my calorie goal :)
  • Hey everyone I'm in a similar place - I'm 25 I have around 10 - 15kg to lose by the end of this year (still not sure what my UGW is). I'm starting back properly tomorrow and this time I've decided that I don't just want to lose weight I want to be really healthy so no processed junk or diet soft drinks etc.
  • I have the same issue all the time and especially because my goal weight is slightly lower than what most people would aim for! I've stopped mentioning it to friends because all I get is 'oh that's way too low' 'you're going to look awful' and those kind of comments. Just keep in mind why you are doing this and who you are…
