I forgot to mention that this is a nice perk of the Black Card, too...the ability to use your membership nationwide. My boyfriend lives in Seattle, so it's nice to be able to work out when I'm there, but as I understand it, you can get reciprocity at a lot of gyms.

I had RNY bypass in January, and it's been a great tool for me. Here's my issue, though: why does so much of public perception rest in the camp of either/or? If you're working the plan that goes with your surgery the way it was intended, you are implementing diet and exercise. You don't just walk in, lie down on a table,…

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for nearly a year now. I think it accomplishes, as a franchise, exactly what its commercials portray: a welcoming, slightly quirky, non-judgmental atmosphere where someone not used to working out can "get their feet wet" with a minimum of intimidation. I have no real complaints about…

How funny! I've had this pic up on my fridge for motivation ever since I first started working out. 108 lbs later, I'd say it's working!

This, please, tats and all, even: ETA, now that I'm looking at it again, I'm pretty close to that already, and I'd maybe like to be 2-3 sizes smaller with the same proportions.

Drop a plate on his toe...that'll fix him!

I still have 85 left to go...believe me, you'll look back one day and realize that the time has flown by and your weight has fallen faster than you expected. Anyone here can feel free to add me. I love new friends!

Maybe not the most professional way ever to diagnose, but I'd have cracked up and not been at all offended. She's going to have a hard time proving any real damage.

Sure, this might be just the kick in the butt I need to get my momentum going again. Starting pic and measurements to follow. :)

Friday, pay day, I'm going to a drag show tonight with one of my best friends, and I get to see ZZ Ward perform tomorrow for free. It's good to be me right now!

This is so going on my weekend menu! Thanks for the tip.

Holy cow! Oops, that's two words...let's go for "ripped".

Your glasses and your style are awesome!

Yeah, this really isn't helping your case any. Jussayin'. I have fibromyalgia. When I'm working out, it hurts like a b*tch. I feel like my joints are being ripped from their sockets. It's not conducive to smiling. I have probably been guilty of this kind of expression myself, and more than once, I'm sure it's been…

I started out in a tight 26...like so tight it was screaming for mercy and probably should have been a 28. Now I'm in an 18/20, depending on the cut of the hip. It seemed like I was flying down sizes there for a while, but I have to say, this range between 20 and about 14/16 seems to be taking a lot longer. I'm still…

And if we follow that logic, neither are HIV, diabetes, or cancer. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this classification. I think obesity is more likely a secondary symptom of a broader spectrum disorder. I do believe it needs to be classified for treatment accessibility purposes, I'm just not sure that this…

100 down, 90 more to go!

You have most definitely come a long way! I know some days are hard, but just keep plugging away. That 10 pounds and then some will come off!

Just posted this on another thread. Here you go:

I have 2. I only have them saved in progress collages, so you get to see what I did about it, too! In this one, I'm actually 20 pounds lighter now than I was in the most recent pic. The one in the pink sweater, obviously, was my "aw, HELL to the NAW!" moment: And these are all facial shots. I do a collage every month, and…

@katrioustu: Heck, I'm stumped. Czech?

Ding ding ding!! We have a winner! Both, actually.

Good guess, but not that I've been told. I would bet you have some English or Scottish, though.

You got the biggest part of it! Anyone want to guess the other 2?
