Quite handsome. I never do these, but I have a new main image, so what the heck? Oops...two people posted while I was typing. Both you ladies are lovely, too! :)

Fish are animals. That makes fish pretty much an epic fail as vegetarian protein.

By the way, I can't speak for the entire population of everyone who's ever had weight loss surgery in the history of forever, but I can speak for myself. Everyone has their individual reasons, just like everyone who chooses other options has theirs. I can tell you from my own perspective that is was by no means an easy,…

"Statistically speaking", you say? Really? Please cite your statistic studies. I'd love to see them.

I'm totally a slow runner...shoot, some days, I'm not even entirely sure what I'm doing out there actually qualifies to some people as "running". But I still love getting out there and doing it. You are not alone by far!

I love telling this story! My love and I met 28 years ago, when I was 12 and he was 13, at a roller skating rink. I had the world's biggest crush on him, but he was oblivious and just thought I was being friendly. He wound up "couple skating" with my best friend at the time, which was pretty much the end of my little…

Monkey Favorite childhood memory?

Everleigh, that's my granddaughter's name. Way to de-stress?

@charliex2202: Holy cow, it looks like I'm stalking you, since you were the last person to comment in the last post I was on too. But I love your hair!

@charliex2202: smile

Sooo much relevance here! Thanks for a great post!!

Crazy curls that look like I spent the day at the beach and rode a Harley home with no helmet. It's auburn-ish with some really random blonde highlights right now, but it'll be true red in a couple of days.

I work for a company that handles communications equipment for major brand name stores. REALLY hate it. I'm actually waiting on a call from a company with which I interviewed last week, to make a total career shift. Hoping to give my notice here this week. I also work part-time at the football stadium in my area on game…

A 2 month old horse, closing in on the amount of red meat an average American eats in a year...craziness!

Went to training for my new part time job at the football stadium (go Chiefs, we still love you!!), and was able to not only walk, but run up and down all the stairs in my section without getting winded. Was given a huge box of size XL clothes, and fit in all of them! Got told by a total stranger how lucky I am to have…

I am so glad you posted this topic! I'm struggling with this a little, myself. I was told when I started out that there would come a time when my body and my head might not necessarily match, but I blew that off as things that people who aren't in touch with themselves might experience. Me, I'm very self-aware, and I got…

have a personal training session...that's not a code phrase, minds out of the gutter! Although those abs are great scenery.

People in my office, myself included, do it all the time. But our office is tiny and only has 4 people in it. And to the bathroom? EEEWWWW! No, shoes go on for that.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't see anything snarky about what that person said. A bottle of spray margarine in 9 days IS excessive. The fact that you're losing steadily is great, but doesn't negate the fact that you probably WOULD lose more if you cut this product out. You weren't criticised, told you were wrong, or called…

You know what I find ironic? How many times I've seen this argument made, that "if I don't see it, it must not happen". Especially when (dubiously) supported by claims like "we're all too involved with our workouts to notice what other people are doing"...really? So, by that argument, wouldn't the claimant be admitting…
So it's like basically 99% of all the other facilities.
Apparently, I previously hit all the 1%, "bad example" gyms. Colossal bad luck on my part. At over 300 lbs, I was certainly never welcomed with open arms at Golds, Bally, 24 Hour Fitness, Aspen Fitness, or even Mademoiselle, who claims to be friendly…

:drinker: Oh wait...I'm promoting unhealthy habits, using this emoticon to encourage you to drink, huh? Might as well go for broke then: :smokin:

Fair argument. But it's judgmental toward a clientele outside their target market. Just like traditional gyms often use images of a more typical beginner PF customer in their advertising. I'm not saying it's right, but it happens on both sides of the coin.

Not entirely true, but common misinformation. No, the surgery does not change your thinking, that much is true, but it can and often does change your physiological response to what you put in your remnant stomach. Trust, if you're smart, the first time you get ahold of something with too much…
