  • And so begins Stage 2... 2A1 Front Squat Push Press 45x10 - Actually just a front squat to break me in... 45x10 - Just a push press...again to break me in... 45x10 - True front squat push press...AWESOMENESS!!! Step Ups 20(e)x10 20(e)x10 * (e) = each hand for 40lbs total. I finished stage 1 at 50lbs, but this was so early…
  • Dropping by to say hello. Ill be starting stage 2 tomorrow. Looking forward to the torture already!
  • Thank you for the reply, Melissa. I ended up redoing 1A7 and adding and starting in with 3 sets from there. I started not feeling so well in the middle of my workout the first time I did 1A7. My kiddos were kind enough to share some cold bug with me. Lucky for me it hit me and sapped my energy right in the middle of that…
  • Doh! I finished 1A7 yesterday and I was sneaking peeks at Stage 2 in the book this evening. I discovered I should have upped to 3 sets around workout 5. Ugh. Shoot me now! I cant decide if I want to finish out just doing two sets of each workout and move on. Finish out doing 2 sets, then go back to workout 5, do 3 sets of…
  • Just came home from finishing 1B5 and I love it! I deadlifted over half my weight today. Not bad for a beginner if you ask me. ;) I dont know about the whole C25k training mixed in with it though. Go for it!
  • Its a good thought, but now that my head has stopped thumping so hard and Ive had time to reflect, I am beginning to suspect it has more to do with my caloric intake. Last nights was bad enough to prescription medicate. After 19 years of them, Ive developed quite a tolerance to their pain so that says a lot. Usually they…
  • I did Stage 1 A1 today!! Yeah me!!!! It was awesome. Loved every second of it...including the ones I spent cursing the step-ups. Now Ive got to go nurse this horrid migraine Ive got coming on. Im praying the two arent related. Anyone else seem to have this issue?
  • Holy MACARONI!!!!! I am absolutely dying to start this (waiting on wrist issues to be solved) and you are making me all the more antsy! Look at how much you have changed! You give me hope! Thank you for being brave enough to post your pictures. Wow! Many, many congrats to you! Keep up the fantastic work!
  • As someone who also started out at 230lbs after that second child and has dropped nearly as much as you, I can confirm...you ARE a bad *kitten*! The fat girl voice is a hard one to silence, even when the results are obviously screaming something much different. You, are not a fat girl. Ignore that voice. Listen to your…
  • I have two kiddos, my eldest just turned 4 two weeks ago and my youngest is 10 months. I did Jillian Michael DVD's while the youngest was napping and the eldest watched Sprout in the next room over for the longest time. I also saved up and bought a used Wii and a couple "exercise games" (Zumba and EA Active) for a change…
  • Finally a thread I can relate to! I am 5'4" and I started my journey at 230 lbs. Ive lost 54lbs in the last 8 months via diet and exercise. Im ready for some re sculpting, but not if it means Im wont going keep losing weight. The number on the scale is STILL important to me as I am still considered obese and to me that…
  • Holy macaroni! Look at you!! You look fantastic!! Congrats on all your hard work. Im dying to start some heavy lifting, thank you for the inspiration. I think Ill look into the previously mentioned books and see what I can learn. Now if only I could find the courage to enter "the man cave"!!
  • I just right clicked and opened the photo in a new tab... Check you out! You look fantastic! Way to go!!!
  • Not odd at all!!! Many congrats to you!! Im just a few pounds from crossing the same line myself and I plan on dancing in celebration too!
  • Add 20lbs to you first picture and about 2 dozen more stretch marks and we could be twins. Thanks for giving me some hope. Ive been working hard at the diet and exercise. Im down 42lbs with about 38lbs to go. I could give a crap less about the stretch marks. Its that pouch that gets me ticked off. For the love of Pete Id…
  • You look fantastic! Congrats on all your hard work! Please dont take this the wrong way (Im not hitting on you I swear!), but you are absolutely gorgeous! Especially that smile, beautiful at any weight.
  • Hey stranger!!! :o)
  • What happened to love beyond the physical? My body is rittled with them thanks to two pregnancies. I wear them proudly and my husband doesnt care one way or another. In my opinion, if they turn someone off, that someone isnt worth your time.
  • The coco butter thing is a myth. Your friend has great genetics. Plain and simple.
  • Day 1 - DONE!! I have issues with carpal tunnel in my right hand and tenosynovitis in my left. When I am having flares, I do pushups on the wall (less body weight and stress on the joint) or I hold plank on my forearms. Hang in there!!!
  • What a transformation! You look fantastic, especially your shoulders and bicepts! Many, many congrats on your success and best wishes with your surgery and life beyond.
  • My biggest challenges are time and boredom. With two children (18 weeks and 3 years) even being a stay at home mom doesnt afford me much time for myself. Boredom is a HUGE killer for me. I crave variety, without it, I give up. I try and keep my workouts varied (save the Shred!). In case you are interested... Sunday -…
  • Let me pick up my jaw... What a difference! You look fantastic! Never you mind those stretch marks, they are badges of honor!
  • I see a difference! Way to go!! I love seeing these pics of women who are more my size. Gives me some hope! Congrats to you!
  • Wow. Sorry to hear about your accident. Geeze, scary stuff! Like the previous poster, I was also going to suggest holding plank pose on your forearms or pushups on the wall if you can handle that much with your shoulder. I have carpal tunnel and tenosynovitis (wrist basically locks up and wont move w/o loads of pain) and I…
  • Id love to join in as well, please! I started the Shred last week on Wednesday, but I tweeked my ankle pretty good at practice (roller derby) over the weekend. Holding off until the 17th will give the ankle the rest it needs to heal up before going at it again. Ill just start over again with yall on the 17th. Thanks for…
  • I gained 0.6lbs last week, which is when I began 30DS, instead of my usually 1.5-3lb loss. I figured I gained the difference in muscle since I didnt change anything else that week. Although a certain monthly fairy was visiting, so perhaps that had something to do with it as well.
  • First of all, CONGRATS! Such a difference, truly an amazing transformation! Second of all, thank you for being so brave and posting your pictures. Its mommas like you who have inspired me to give this 30 DS a chance. Thirdly, those stretch marks are beautiful, as are you. Some day our babies will grow up and leave our…
  • Would you mind one more late comer? I'll be on day 3 tomorrow, so right there with you all. Id certainly appreciate the motivation!
