My entire family was very, very sick with the stomach flu last week. I didn't even get out of bed except to go to the bathroom for an entire day.... since then, I seem to have lost my motivation to exercise. How/What can I do to get back in the game?

I'm a little late this week - been sick which is probably why I had such a good weight loss... but I'll take it! Last week: 204 lbs This week: 199 lbs ( reached my goal of being below 200 by V-Day!!!!!) Loss this week: 5 lbs - total lost 9 lbs!

I totally agree, eat up! Maybe you need to be eating more at lunch also, something low in cals but a good filler like steamed veggies or a huge salad with a lil' salad spritzer dressing.

Thanks for the encouragement.... with everyone's help on here I was able to work throught my sore muscles and forge ahead on my work out path! It was an amazing 68 degrees in Kansas City yesterday - unheard of for January, which allowed me to get out and walk it was great. But I am native Colorado - sure do miss it…

Ok, so I finally got off my butt and started exercising..... but now I am so sore I don't feel like I can go on! How to I stay motivated to exercise when I hurt all over? HELP!

I'm in - New to this - Do we just post our weight on Fridays for all to see? Current weight is 207 - want to weigh anything less than 200 lbs! But for an actual goal, I am going to shoot for 197! Time to sign up at the gym!

I sit here with tears in my eyes reading your story! I have been Janet.... I lost 160 lbs, but over the past few years have gained 40 of it back. Having turned 40 on Christmas, I have decided it is time to lose the xtra 40 (again)!! I can't imagine what it would have been like to have had someone at the gym stand up for me…
