Again, when it comes to a diabetic, to your pancreas sugar is sugar, where its natural or not. I have educated myself. I have also had several Doctors tell me this over and over. And yes, I did weigh that much but it was not because I was eating cakes and soda as you think.

I had gest diabetes, it went away after I had my baby but a few years later I developed type 2, I know how you feel and its sad. I get the Body Fortress - Super Advanced Whey Isolate, I buy it at walmart. has only 2 carbs a serving. I get the vanilla, its easy to add/change the flavor if you want. Or if you want something already made, I get the 4 pack of atkins shakes. they come in so many flavors now. they are very good!

You have to stay away from white potatos or any veggie that smushs like a potoato such as peas. and that also means french frys :) Beans are high in fiber but the lowest GI would be your black bean. Welcome :drinker: I also eat low carb due to diabetes. You can do it, and before you know it, you will be almost off all of your meds. I was taking so many pills and insulin shots a day. Since I started LC I only have to take 1 pill (metformin) before supper.

This is an awesome Idea! I had removal a few years ago but the DR said I am going to need a full tummy tuck when I finish losing all my weight. Back then they removed 8 lbs of skin. I wish I had thought about donating that skin. But when I have it done again I will donate for sure.
