Not sure exactly what your diet guidelines are, but I've amassed a pretty good selection of recipes on pinterest. I've tried almost all of them at least once, and deleted any that turned out to be gross: http://pinterest.com/emtron500/diet-recipes/ These are my main tips for weekly food prep, although they're pretty basic…

ground turkey can be really dry. so it depends on the recipe whether it will be good or not. For something like chili either one works.

I really enjoy Promasil protein powder blended with plain yogurt and some berries and maybe a banana. Depending how much fruit and yogurt you use it makes a 200-400 calorie meal that's got a good nutritional profile. And it's quick to throw together and drink on the way to work if you have to.

Poutine and cupcakes! Breakfast of champions.

Man you guys are making me look bad with your salads. I had a sandwich with cream cheese, green onion, red pepper, and lettuce.

Sorry to hear about your Grandma :( it's tough to deal with something like that without using food as a comfort. My advice to you at this point is to get on the scale, face it, and start working it back off. The process of working off that weight - meal planning, exercising, all that fun stuff - will help take your mind…

haha I do this too. I go to stores and grab the biggest size of everything (so at non-plus-size stores, generally 14-16), then when they're too big I'm all surprised, even though I've been size 10 for a while.

I felt this way until like, 50 lbs down. Mostly because I was never really admitting to myself how fat I was. Then I really looked at "before" pictures and was like OOOOH GOD! And now again just recently I'm seeing CURRENT photos of myself and thinking "wait, really? that's me?" because I actually look smaller than I am in…

Where's the mayo love in this thread? I seriously love mayo.

I do taekwondo as well, but it sounds a little different from yours. we learn one poomse per belt, focus on one breaking kick per belt (where we need to break a board with that kick in order to pass our belt test), and learn new self defense moves at every belt level. obviously throughout the process we're also focusing on…
-
Awesome! First testing can be kind of intimidating but you'll feel so accomplished having earned a belt :)

Easy! Bacon and eggs, fruit, omelettes of any kind (load 'em up with veggies and meat), even a bigass breakfast salad can be pretty tasty. Or a frittata or something if you're feeling fancy.

hey Ryan, I could use some good motivating friends too, will add you! good luck! I've been struggling my entire life too and decided I wanted to lose some weight while still in my 20s to try out being young and fit for once :)

My survival mode for my last period involved replacing my entire breakfast with a sweet chocolate thing of some sort every day. Got me through! And easier than being good all day, eating my allotted calories, and then snapping and eating that same treat at night.

I'm a compulsive drinker. I need to be drinking something literally at all times. Here's what I usually stick to: Every day caffeine fix: Black coffee, black espresso, black tea, green tea Occasional caffeine fix: 5-6 oz cappuccino, small Starbucks Refresher drink Every day cold/refreshing drink: water, sparkling water,…

I put my calories up to 1400 and bumped carbs down to 88g per day. That's low carb, but not crazy low. And I try to get them mostly from fruits and vegetables.

2010 2011 2012 (with adorable niece)

Yup. It's up there with carbs and egg yolks on things you will never be able to find a good answer on. Do what you gotta do to get through the day!

I had issues with this when I was heavier, and with my knee feeling "stuck" in position sometimes, and it's almost completely disappeared with weight loss (even though I'm still overweight)
-
I've become very sick from a caffeine overdose in the past. I felt like I was going to die for a couple of hours and then got over it. That was after maybe 10-15 double shots of espresso in less than an hour. 3 coffees over the course of a day is nothing :) That said, sometimes it's fun to cut back on coffee just so when…

Well, this is kind of embarrasing. - protein powder - banana - red wine

1 lb in two weeks really isn't bad. As long as that scale keeps moving downwards, you're doing great. You could probably speed it up (at least temporarily) by cutting carbs, but there will always be slow weeks. Also, for most women your period can make your weight higher (due to bloating) for up to 10 days, so if you're…

Ab exercises make me feel like I'm going to puke too. I do them anyway though, and give myself a big pat on the back for putting up with the general crappiness of it. If it's bugging you, you could do exercises that focus more of just an isometric contraction of your core, like planking, yoga, or pushups (if you need to do…

I use a Shock Absorber brand one. I love it - couldn't work out without it (I've tried - not good). And they come in a wide range of sizes.

This doesn't happen to me at all - I assume because my sports bra does not slide over the skin underneath in the slightest. Might be worth shopping around for a better bra.
