Despite the profile pic...not beer. Mai Tai's or Captain & Coke. I'm an island kind of guy at heart.

To all you beer drinking ladies....prost!!!!

When you figure it out, please let me know! I've done exactly the same thing. I was doing awesome until the holidays hit and then I literally gobbled up half of the weight I had lost. A slow and steady "one day at a time" approach seemed to work well for me before but I'm having a hell of a time being consistent again. I…

I usually exercise first thing in the morning or else I might not work out at all. Running with a full belly just doesn't feel good. I don't dare do Crossfit with chow in my belly for fear of throwing it up!

Running seems to burn the most calories in the least amount of time. You can save yourself CONSIDERABLE effort and time if you pay attention to what you eat. That's where MFP can help. CrossFit is a great way to stay motivated in the exercise department.

I'll admit...it's not for everybody but I love it and don't know of anyone who's tried it and didn't like it. You don't have to be an extreme athlete to gain strenth, endurance and mobility. I am not extreme but I do more in my CrossFit workouts than I ever thought I could. Great stuff! That being said...You do have to…

I had a small umbilical hernia, got it fixed with the mesh, and all is now good. The recovery wasn't bad, just annoying because I couldn't really work out for about a month. So don't be afraid of the surgery. The logistics of child care is a problem so good luck with that. Bottom line...the hernia isn't going to fix itself…

What is PCOS?

Yeah...you gotta log it. Despite my profile pic, I'm not a big drinker. But my consumption during Oktoberfest and football season definitely shoots up my calorie intake. The crappy food that goes along with it doesn't help. Self discipline and regular workouts are the key. Being honest with your logs and the feedback from…

"...at least you'll have a dog" That's pretty damn funny!
-
Oh yeah...I'm a few years into them. It's all good except for the time it takes to recover from working out too hard! You can add drinking too much to that list also. :-)

Very funny almarsala!

Knocked out 75 pushups as part of my CrossFit workout. That will have to suffice for W3D1.
-
Knocked out 25 (level 4) after I was logging in my 5k run and noticed this message board and the website. Interested to see how long I'll keep this up.

Did I forget to mention that football season is starting also?!?!?!?! Go Trojans! After a beer or two, my food discipline starts circling the toilet bowl if you know what I mean. Pizza, M&Ms, nachos... sure! Rough waters ahead.

With Oktoberfest and the holidays just around the corner, this is going to be tough. Hoping I can work out enough to make up for deviations to the healthy diet!

4 weeks off track and I'm 3 pounds in the wrong direction. I suppose it could have been worse. The line in the sand is drawn. Ran 4.5 miles this morning. Now if I can just keep from stuffing my face!
