I went through an AC/DC phase, then I turned 14 and they were just old news.

Although I know there are a great deal of variables involved, i'm interested in hearing feedback on this same thing. Am in a similar confusing situation (that I have almost chalked up to being lax in my Journey, Don't Stop Believing)

Something I have noticed as time goes by that "Hoss" as we describe it around here (a big young man, think lumber jack/ farm boy) generally turns into lardy pants over the years. Not a good look, yet people still say "he's just healthy like a man should be"

I do agree that the American perception is skewed. At 5'11" 236 lbs. I thought I looked buff, as did the folks around me...HAHA. (not a weight had been lifted in well over two years) Naw, fat...I was fat.

Lol, cause you know they will.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwrK1idrkRo Not sure how I chopped off my last two reps but anyways. Based off of this video (although against the 5x5 plan), would you folks recommend NOT moving up in weight next session? I'm at the point where I feel form is going to be compromised. BTW I did complete all 5 reps.

Thank you for clearing that up. I suppose it would be different in person. I had not thought past the online comments. Also, I still maintain what I said yesterday about your progress.

Why do people post progress pictures on public forums? Or even post them as a profile picture. Wouldn't it be easy just to keep those to yourself so others don't have to see how great you're doing? It makes the likelihood of getting one of those dreaded compliments even greater.

Thanks Dope, as always. I always appreciate the time you all take to watch people's videos and provide feedback!

FWIW, as I have tried to all but eliminate my over arching problem, I have noticed my abs working harder. abs working = great feeling IMO. :)

Your dedication really shows in your profile pic, awesome transformation. Quite inspiring!

I have no idea what it's like to deal with an ed, so I cannot relate with those that do when it comes to weight loss comments. I do however take the opportunities to tell those that inquire about my loss that it doesn't have to be a painful process, difficult...at times, yes, but not painful, and most of the things they…

A lady at work told me "great job on the weight loss, your patience and meticulous logging is really paying off" ...I punched the ***** in the mouth. Some nerve she had.

Thanks for noticing my pretty butt wink :) lol. Srs, thank you Sara, for the critique, I will apply your advice! And work on mobility for the sake of the butt wink.

I am a newb, so take from this what you will. I think you are being too hard on yourself. OHP has been deemed the most difficult lift of the program by many members here. I am doing SL 5x5 for the second time from scratch and for the second time I have had my first failed set, of course on OHP, and at 75 lbs. (makes me…

Damn right +1

I tend to have the same thought process. For example, this past weekend I used an ax to split wood and remove small stumps for a good hour and felt very little fatigue, which I attribute to time spent lifting weights.

The toxins? I'm not sure I understand... Are you talking about TEH TOXINZ??

I just told a co-worker I would continue to try to get my daily veggie/fruit needs through actual fruits and veggies after she mentioned her new "green smoothie toxin eliminator drink." She was not impressed.

I do suppose, as with almost everything, it depends on how well the individual can handle this approach both physically and mentally.

My wife and I have been remodeling an old house and I have no guilt in ordering and consuming an entire large pepperoni pizza when I work an entire day on it because I know (even only using half the calories MFP says I burned) I have burned enough to afford it. (ex. push mowing the 1 acre lot, weed eating, tree/stump…
