This seems like the appropriate audience for my question...

Look, I get what y'all are saying about doing the same things and eating the same as I did when I had the desired body but wouldn't it be easier to just take a Dr. Ooze pill? He is a doctor and there's a study that proves it works.

Ok guys let's keep this on topic and supportive. Have either of you tried it, and what were your results?

Not everyone is born with the same awesome genetics as you. And you're male so of coarse loosing weight is easy. You North Carolinians think you're hot *kitten*

So it's a calorie in/out equation still yet. The med may cause more, or less, hunger.
-
Thanks y'all. I have felt noticeably hungrier. Ironically I have been doing better at staying under my calories.... strange.

Spoiler alert!?

God, if only I hadn't spent the last two hours reading this non-sense... But, since there is now a trophy involved, yes I am very proud!!! and, to answer the burning question, yes...I'm going to Disney World!

I just posted this in another Celexa thread. I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask here as well.. I have been put on Celexa and have wondered the same thing about weight gain. I've only been on it for two weeks so definitely not long enough to notice weight gain or loss. My serious question is...Can these medications actually…

Semi-old thread is semi-old. I have been put on Celexa and have wondered the same thing about weight gain. I've only been on it for two weeks so definitely not long enough to notice weight gain or loss. My serious question is...Can these medications actually change the calorie in/out equation? Or do they possibly make you…

Great responses y'all. So far, since getting my glucometer Thursday, I have tested 4 times between 81 and 115. I have not yet, however, felt the same kind of symptoms I had been feeling in the previous months. I'm waiting for a "crash" so I can verify the low sugar level.

Bump.

Update: Doc wants blood work; CMP, TSH, Lipid insulin, and c-peptide serum. <<not sure what those mean but hey. He said he's concerned that I may be over producing insulin. Prescribed me a glucometer and wants me to check my glucose when I feel shakey, nervous, and light headed. Also thinks I may be a bit high strung and…

I don't mind the eating every couple hours if that's what has to happen. Just wondered if that would be considered "normal". Like I say I'd like to be able to one day eat again because I'm hungry not because it's time. Its a fine line watching calorie intake and making sure not to bottom out.

I also tend to start feeling symptoms when I am engaged in face to face conversation and have to focus on what the person is saying. Same thing when speaking to a group.

Also, oatmeal whether instant or rolled oats sends my sugar levels down the ****tter. Which sucks, I love oatmeal.
-
No I don't test. Will you have to eat every 1.5-2 hours for the rest of you life?
-
So, will this likely be a lifelong issue that needs to be managed? Also, I would love to carry a glucometer for curiosity's sake, however my extreme needle phobia barley allows me to type the word glucometer.
