Another week 1 person here =) Kicked pretty good butt on Monday so I'm excited for today. Did a nice circuit workout Tues and will repeat that Thurs, next week I have arms/chest tues and legs/back thurs instead and I'm adding 15mins arc or elliptical depending on how spent I am from circuit =)

None taken and ty for the concern! Basically in my case, soreness is a good sign. It's more like, ok you're working me out a little harder then I'm used to and I feel the burn.... not.... an "omg holy major pain what did I just do" situation! I had major surgery following injury and had a mrsa complication so I was down a…

I have an omron body fat analyzer. If you google or amazon it, it's the hand-held thing. Accuracy wise I know from past use that they're pretty on par. Calipers you can find by searching for skin fold caliper. Will be adding a set of those to see the differences between each tool. I know off measurements I was 8%+ lower…

No. You don't compensate past a slip up day. You just log accurately and do NOT beat yourself up. Getting into that guilt/shaming thing isn't a mindset you need when you're working on becoming a healthier person. Now if this was a once a week major binge blowout I would suggest looking at diet and see if you're too…

You can do it! I'm shorter but end game I have about the same loss I'm working on so I'd love to help cheer you on too!

Went from 50f yesterday in Northern NJ to -17 with the wind chill right now... supposedly it's 3f without the wind. Don't mind the cold... it's the crazy fluctuations that need to stop!

I didn't quit. My knee was getting sore 2/3 into my new running intervals program. I kept telling myself to suck it up I was almost done... and instead of dropping onto the rails I Just lowered my speeds a little and pushed through. I wanted to quit but I wouldn't let myself and I'm really proud of that.

True cardio... 30mins 3x a week. treadmill =)

Cooking ahead and pre-portioning saves my life on night shift. I work a non-typical "overnight" 2am - 10am Sun to Thurs so even my weekend is wonky. Generally I get around 4 straight hours of sleep at night before shift and if I can squeeze in a nap I do so during the day. If not.... it's just suck it up until you can…

Just made some protein bars early this am and tried one out a little bit ago... they're awesome! I have a 2nd piece that counts in my "serving" so that makes me pretty happy. I'm allergic to nuts so finding "safe" bars that are nut free and aren't processed around....And... that are affordable, well, yeah. Make my own is…

I'm rolling over here! I'm only 5'3".... my bestie is 4'11" so around her is the ONLY time I feel tall! My son is 12 and is about to pass me by so the "short" reminders are ever coming in this house!

Lentils are a huge staple here. Also if I do ham I make sure it's with the bone since that + a bag of split peas makes a great soup. there's a 14 bean soup mix that needs little helping and can be done in a crock pot just google 14 bean soup!. My grandmother's pasta & bean soup is another cheap staple here. Literally you…

I did... Lost about 60 lbs and then had that plus another 15.5 lbs pile on. How? Blew out a knee at 120 lbs and fit in 2007. Started to gain a little going from Very Active (running 20-30 miles a week) to "in a leg brace with a knee the size of a watermelon" and following surgery and a MRSA infection (hello steroids) the…

It happens. You slipped. You are human =) I know you can get back on and that just logging Does do a lot to get you going. Starting to log for me cut my portions and then ditching my measuring cups for the food scale so I was more exact helped me fine tune even more. I'm not a patient person and have some training goals…

1200 is for sedentary... as in you sit all day and do Nothing. I know some here liken it to "coma" maintenance. Having a toddler...... I remember next to never sitting. So activity level wise the calories don't exactly line up where they "should". I would say you're under-eating, but I would also have to ask how are you…

I hear you on tired to go to the gym day,.. that's Sunday for me. I set up a killer body weight/core and abs session for situations like that and I've actually set it to be my default Sunday workout vs having gym guilt for not going Sat/Sun. I'll be in there 5x weekly during the week so I Think that's going to let me off…

Well, it's not an easy task you are setting up for. To be honest I wish you had a little more time since it takes 21 days to make something a habit and when you are in a time crunch for an event you might not develop the habits to make the full goal of getting off all the extra weight so the yo-yo cycle begins. But that…

I eat a bit more than both of you. 1460 is my default calories a day usually I am under but that helps me. Was getting rundown and too tired s with my lack of sleep schedule due to working graveyards I had t do something before I got sick again. Did 2;5 hours of heavy shoveling today plus just rocked a legs workout at the…

Me!!! Would love a mom group

Goals this week, -keep logging -Stay on track especially now that I adjusted my macros and am feeling less run down... I was WAY under where I should be so that coupled with not enough sleep (graveyard shift + kids + husband + house + appointments) was killing me. -Try to find more nap times to increase a little sleep (if…

I eat pretty much whatever I feel like and don't do the "breakfast food" requirement. Wasn't hungry this am before work so I didn't eat yet, now that break is coming up I will grab something. I have an apple and cheese with me, but also have sausage and cereal, and then I even have some soup and chicken chow mein. Yay for…

lol yes it is. and I'm here another 7 hrs and change while at work lol

We go to our local one.... my husband is a "no cardio" kinda guy whereas I'll elliptical, arc and treadmill in addition, however we have different goals right now. The staff is really nice and locker rooms are clean. So is the gym but I see a lot of people not wiping down their areas which totally grosses me out, so we…

Gym closed here too so will be doing abs torture via Tapout DVD here in a bit. It's a 16min set of hell so I might torment myself and do it twice lol. Tomorrow gym is back on, unless snow starts early and then I've got my workout right there with the 60ft x 10 wide of street parking.... and then the 75 of driveway... and…

It's not. No difference on or off. I kept my foods the same, same activities etc so honestly it did nothing. I didn't do any cleanse hype with it since I think those are bs. Well meaning family member gifted me the green coffee so it cost nothing lol

bleh holiday duty used to be the worst!! I used to just log my day 1 and stop that at midnight and start day 2 then. Hope all is quiet!

Yay for some positivity! Happy New Year to everyone (and especially you OP for starting this one!) here and wishing everyone well on reaching goals big and small during this next year!
