I know based on being that weight previously. Looking back at pictures of myself at that weight and I'm reminded that it was a good weight to be. I felt confident and the clothes I wore proved that. Coincidentally its about right smack in the middle of what my BMI says I should be..

Welcome back! If you have lost it before, you can get back on track again. Stay positive and focused on your goal :)

Try squeezing the juice from a whole lemon into a glass of water. This helps me with water weight gain every single time.

Thank you for sharing this. Such a moving article and it's nice to have a reminder that as parents, we are looked up to in many ways we forget about!

I think it depends on your calorie intake. I'm doing TDEE minus 20% so it has me at 1500 calories a day. I never eat back my calories on work out days and I'm losing at a steady pace. When I was doing 1200 a day, I would eat back calories though.

I like to snack on: pretzels with hummus, or veggies and hummus. Also protein shakes, bananas, oranges, cherries (yay they are in season!), almonds, pumpkin seeds (when I can find them),
-
My favorite one is some pretzels with hummus, or veggies with hummus. Or a protein shake (160 cal) from Costco :)

Wow that was a tear jerker! Thank you for sharing. He is an inspiration!

What an inspiration! He doesn't even look like the same person either. Good for him! Just goes to show you don't have to have a lot of money or a gym membership to lose weight!

I agree, it was telling me to eat 1200. I thought I was slowly starving. Upped mine by doing TDEE minus 20% and am still slowly losing (and not eating back any calories). I guess the extremely low calories works for some? IDK...

It will definitely shrink with the more you lose. I've lost quite a bit off mine. Granted my tummy will never be what it was but its definitely better than it was =)
-
Yes! Down 7 lbs with 8 more to lose. Doing TDEE minus 20% :)

33 y.o. 5'3 weekly weight loss goal of one pound calorie goal: 1450- 1500

I think its totally normal to feel resentment or even frustration. I wish I could eat a burger from Carls Jr right now. And I know if someone naturally thin did, they'd probably lose weight haha. Its not fair. But life isn't fair...

This! Squeeze a whole lemon into a glass of water. I do this when I'm bloated and it works very well!
-
If you 're looking to flush out excess water, I would recommend drinking water with lemon (squeeze a whole one into some water). That always helps me shed the water weight (esp during that time of the month!)

I work from home but am the opposite too. I snack WAY less being at home. When I worked in the office, I had a drawer full of junk food. Being at home all day working, I do not have any snacks. I go to the kitchen to get them and even then, I use portion control. I don't even allow myself to snack or eat lunch at my desk.…

I upped my calories per TDEE minus 20% 2 weeks ago. I seem to be on a trend of losing a pound a week which is perfect. And I'm no longer starving. I love it :)
-
You probably are not eating enough. I stalled at 1200 and read about doing TDEE minus 20%, which is what I started 2 weeks ago. And I've already lost 2 lbs. Eating 300 more calories a day is helping me lose! I think your body is trying to tell you it wants more food.

I was pretty happy @ 125.. My CW is 140 and GW is 130. Once I get there, I'll reassess how I feel :)
-
Thanks for asking this.. I wondered the same thing a week ago after jumping from eating too low into TDEE minus 20 % Good luck to us! :)

I'm totally not a fan of water either. But I use a water infuser.. and I put frozen fruit into it. Or I'll squeeze an orange or lemon into water and put the wedge into the bottle. This thing has made me drink SO much water. I use it daily!…

I stop eating after dinner. If I HAVE to have a snack, I make it no later than 7pm.. It was so hard in the beginning.. Now I go to bed hungry every night. I somehow learned to ignore it..

Above the knee dresses again! I feel like I have 'knee fat' and currently am not happy about my legs haha. Oh and my cute bathing suits. If I make my goal (11 more lbs!!!) I;m treating myself to a 2 piece :D

Ugh. I know what you mean.. going through this battle right now. Have you heard of L-Glutamine? Its an amino acid thats found naturally in your body. Anyway I came across a forum that promoted the use of it to curb sugar cravings. I bought it and have been using it monthly for these cravings. For me personally, it helps! I…

I currently work from home full time. For some reason I find it easier to eat healthier at home since I'm not tempted by all the sweets people in the office used to bring in or wanting to run and get fast food a few times a week. I think a routine is best too. Having a set schedule in mind can make it easier. I stopped…

I had no idea she supported it. Great to know, thank you! Yes and maintaining is hardly a problem haha. But I totally get where you're coming from :)
-
Thanks for the replies! I think I will slowly raise them. 1800 just sounds too high for someone who is on the petite side and has a desk job =/
-
Ugh I typically gain about 3 to 5 lbs during that time of the month. It might be bad but I feel the bloat and take water pills which help.

Have you tried taking vitamins? I used to have terrible insomnia until I started taking calcium, magnesium and a multi vitamin an hour before bed. I sleep amazing now :) GL!
