I love bread too!!! I could eat a loaf of sourdough in 2 days lol. I started a low carb diet 5 weeks ago (50 grams or less) eliminating breads, pastas etc. and I'm down 6 lbs already! I think the 1st few days were the hardest but it's a lifestyle change. Oh and for me personally, I felt super bloated and had a lot of…

I'm on the high fat high protein diet too. I personally love it since I'm always full. But yes, calories are still high for me too. When I was calorie counting it was 1600 a day. I range between that and 1700 a day doing this plan.

I think what you need a good dose of some self love! Until you get to your goal weight, why don't you find things you love about yourself and focus on that? More likely than not, as you lose the weight, the cellulite will go away (mine has already started to and I've only lost 10 lbs). Be happy about what your body can do…

I hit a plateau too, for about a month. I upped my calories a day by 100 and started losing again. Yay more food!

Mine has sort of changed. I'm 5'3 also. SW was 145, I've lost 10 lbs. It took me 4 months to lose these 10 lbs. I originally wanted to be 130. It took so long and I worked so hard to get to 135. Thinking about my new way of eating, this is a lifestyle change for me- no going back. I wouldn't be too heartbroken if I didn't…

I'm 5'3 also.. SW: 145 CW: 136 GW: 130 Super duper GW: 125 :)

You're doing really well for the short amount of time you have been at it. So first of all, congrats on that! Give yourself credit where it's due. And remember, it took time to put the weight on in the 1st place, its going to take that time to get it off too :)

I have my settings the same as yours.. I still want to lose a lb a week but don't know if that is realistic. I upped my exercise from 3 times to 5 times last week and I'm down ounces already (I only weigh in on Wednesdays). Oh and NO cheat meals or anything so we'll see. It sure can be frustrating..

Awesome job, you look great! :)
-
Great job! You look fantastic :)

You look amazing. Great job, congrats!!!

I carry mine on my tummy, thighs and hips. UGH@ I wish we could move it around. I'd put some on my boobage area haha

I don't eat ANY exercise calories back. I'm too focused on losing these last few pounds at this point. I think most who do the TDEE minus 20% don't eat calories back either. Since upping my calories I always still save room for dessert too so I don't feel deprived :)

This!! I am very similar to you at 5'3. My highest was 145 which put me into the overweight category. I lost some at 1200 but stalled and was HANGRY all the time. So I upped it to TDEE minus 20%. I'm doing about 1500 calories a day, which is slightly above my BMR and working out 5 days a week. It's working for me, started…

O geez.. I was probably the worst I've been in a loooong time. I was 600 calories over for the day :( MFP told me if I kept that up daily, in 5 weeks I would be 5 lbs more HAHAHA
-
For me, a cheat meal is something that makes me go over my calorie intake for the day!
-
I'm totally trying this with Truvia and vanilla extract. Sounds amazing!!!
-
Those are really good but I agree with above poster. The sugar content puts me off. If I ate them I would have barely any room for sugar the rest of the day! I'd rather have chicken and a protein shake to get my protein for the day...

I have joined and been dedicated to logging in for the following reasons, which you can share with her: I set a reminder for MFP to give me pop ups on my phone if I haven't logged my lunch by 1pm I set my calories and lbs to lose per week manually (MFP does this for you but you can adjust to what works for you!) The forums…

I went with MFP's settings in the beginning, starving off the 1200 calories a day it set. I was miserable! Then reading the forums, and seeing a lot of people losing doing TDEE - 20%, I manually changed my settings to that. It has helped and I'm much happier eating more :)

I would say 99.99% of the time its an addiction to food. I have yet to meet an obese person who did not overeat.
-
I hit my plateau a few weeks ago so I've been feeling kind of down. I hope to get to your state of mind soon so I can enjoy my mid-loss victory! :) I think the point is to just keep trying and not get discouraged at this point..
-
It is not a disease. It is an addiction to food.

I got tired of being the chubby sister who sits in the shade at the river fully clothed instead of rocking a bathing suit like my cute thinner sisters. I am too young to be fully clothed in the Summer time at the river! Oh also my daughter needs a mom that is in shape to run her around everywhere and do all the fun things…

I'm 5'3 and I eat 1500 a day. Also I don't eat back any exercise calories. Doing TDEE minus 80% as well with only 6 lbs more to lose. Very happy about that! But at the same time extremely nervous to increase calories once I'm there..
-
Personally, I eat more than my BMR. I'm doing TDEE minus 20% It makes me happier to eat more.. I was too angry at 1200 or 1300. Its slow going for me but it's been steady :)
-
Anywhere from 2 to 3 lbs. I try to avoid the scale that time so I don't get mad haha
-
Hmmm maybe with that much exercise you are burning too much and your body needs more? Have you tried upping them to maybe 1500 a day?
-
I'm eating 1500 max a day, and not eating back any exercise calories. I've lost 8 lbs so far with 7 more to go. I've not missed a day logging for over 3 months now. Its a painfully slow process (or I'm just impatient haha).

I seriously hope there was a type in that and you meant 1500 to 1800 =/
