Why should my friend join MFP?

I have a friend, who's commented on how well I've done a couple of times. She thinks she can't lose weight and keep it off, she's tried all the diets, she's not sure, it looks complicated, struggling with the diet head and all the hangups, etc etc etc. I'm saying to her, Give it a go, what have you got to lose?

So tell me why she should join MFP and I'll try and encourage her:

I have joined and been dedicated to logging in for the following reasons, which you can share with her:

I set a reminder for MFP to give me pop ups on my phone if I haven't logged my lunch by 1pm

I set my calories and lbs to lose per week manually (MFP does this for you but you can adjust to what works for you!)

The forums are a supportive place to go when you feel like quitting

It lets you see your nutrient details

If you have an iPhone you can scan foods with labels

Its easy to find and create entries when going out to eat

Supporting friends in real life in their weight loss

There are so many other reasons to join!

She should do it for herself, if she wants to do it at all.

definitely! You can't and mustn't push people into doing something, but sometimes you can put a hand out to help them pull themselves up  I think she wants to give it a go (she's said as much). All I can do is be encouraging.
