The same thing happened to me Sherry! My hips were sore when I first started running. I've noticed now I don't get that anymore. Fluctuating your calories will take a lot longer than 3 weeks for your body to adjust to. 3 weeks isn't a plateau. Just wait a little bit, and it'll move again. Just stick with it. It sucks doing another workout when your entire body aches, but the only way to get rid of that soreness is to continue doing it. Ice it. Stretch.
