I'm at 300g per day and depending on my what i eat, anywhere between 65-85g comes from shakes.

as said before, try a different protein. there are a number out there that taste very good. if not, try and find some PB2 - its powdered peanut butter. i add it to my shakes with a frozen banana and i really like the taste.

I'd cut back on the candy as well. As needernt said, simple carbs are good post workout, however, candy as your simple carb of choice is based more on "bro-science" than anything else. <does not run. I do an incline walk at max (level 15) and increase my speed from 3.0-4.0 (.2 intervals) for 15-20 mins. It works up a good sweat and burns calories. I let my diet do the rest. #absaremadeinthekitchen

What time does your gym open? I'm at the office by 7:15am and some nights I don't leave until 8pm. I'm up at 4am and working out by 4:30 because working out after work wasn't productive for me. Maybe try mornings.

"Better" is a subjective term as people will have different opinions on this topic. Is price an issue? If not, why not use all three? I personally drink a mix of BCAAs, Glutamine and Creatine DURING my workout and take in protein after. I find that this works best for me and i'm happy with the results.
