I am in Phoenix metro, I go to the Scottsdale center. I bought like 15 boxes up front, so they never say anything to me about whether I buy 3 boxes or 7 boxes. Of course, since I turn my diaries in every week, they know I am staying on plan. I mostly eat raw brownie dough or soft serve peanut butter made to the consistency…

I didn't pay for food up front, just the testing. At my center, you pay for food as you go and are required to buy at least 5 boxes of meals each week (7 meals/box, 7 days in a week, 5 meals/day).

I do the treadmill for 45 minutes 3 times a week. Lately I have been warming up for 7 minutes at 3.5 MPH and then the rest I got at about 4.0 MPH. I swim 2-3 times a week for about 20 minutes using just my arms to pull my body weight through the water. I do strength training 2 times a week on my arms only. Simple curls,…

I do strength training & cardio but not intense on either one. I think you are probably not losing as much from the cheating "here & there" and not the fact you are exercising. As long as you can keep calories under 1000 & carbs under 80, I'd keep exercising. It's a good habit to have & taking time away may make it harder…

My center sells the food for slightly less than the online price per package. I think that is their way of discouraging people from ordering their food online. Do what works best for you. The nice thing about getting it from a center, at least for me, is that they will exchange the food I don't like for other individual…

I'm going to be in Hawaii for over a week and plan to stay on plan the whole time. When you are eating your Medifast meals, that is will power to say no to restaurant food and yes to a healthier, thinner, you. But when it comes to your lean and green, it really does help if your significant other supports you and doesn't…

Welcome! Personally, I lost 6 pounds my first week and 13 pounds my first month. I started in the last week of April 2012 and have lost just over 27 pounds total.

SW Eggs + Tabasco = Tolerable Make sure you "under" cook them, they are better runny than rubbery.

When I eat out, I usually try to get salad with grilled chicken on it and a vinaigrette. Wendy's and McDonalds both have this, as well as a number of other fast food places. Just about any restaurant you go to can make a salad with grilled chicken on it. Make sure it is not "fried" chicken or breaded in any way. And steer…

I make the soft serve peanut butter with about 3-4 Tbspns of water so it is the consistency of, well, peanut butter. And then I eat it with celery. Just like I used to do with real peanut butter before Medifast. Hehe.

I went to a dog wedding at the Duce downtown as a fundraiser for Mayday rescue. It was loads of fun.

I go to a Medifast center with certified Medifast peeps. They say no exercise during first 3 weeks so your body can adjust to lower caloric intake. After that, you add exercise slowly. If you get jittery or hungry, they say you are pushing too hard & need to scale back time or intensity until you can work up to it without…

The pizza is not in the cookbook but search for Sandy's Kitchen & cauliflower pizza 2, and you should find the blog that has a good recipe for it. I suggest the cauliflower 2 because it is chewier like pizza. My fiancée even likes it if I put a couple pepperoni slices on his side. I have a few salad recipes from the actual…

I totally agree with marjoly. Your friend is doing a slightly different version than "plain ol'" Medifast 5&1. From what you have said, it isn't like you are eating corn, peas, or carrots. If you are following your quick start guide (available online at http://www.medifastmedia.com/med/docs/quick_start_guide.pdf), you will…

Personally, I love this cucumber salad: 2 medium or 1 large cucumber with skin (remove seeds, cubed) 8 oz Mozzarella, part skim (cubed) 1 large or 2 small/medium Roma Tomatoes (diced) 2 Tblspns Newman's Own - Light Italian Dressing 1 tspn Ground Black Pepper 1 Tblspn Fresh Parsley (or 1 tspn dried parsley) Combine…

Why do you have to stay on the pill? The pill seems the obvious trigger for the problem. Being on BC is not good for our bodies, seriously.

Most of my MF L&G meals are between 300-500 calories. My goal is usually to keep my whole day under 1,000 calories and my carb intake to less than 80 grams. That means I don't always choose certain MF foods that are higher in sugar than others. For example, I love the MF diabetic chocolate shake because it is low in…

Sooooo......how was your weigh in?

The Medifast center I go to gladly trades packets. My go to foods are brownies, soft serve peanut butter, and dutch chocolate shakes. I mix soft serve peanut butter with 1/4 cup water to make a thick peanut butter consistency and then eat with celery. I like other stuff, too. The SW eggs, the banana shake (made as a…

I'm on my 3rd week, too! I like to add a teaspoon of SF Carmel syrup to the brownies. Sometimes, I add a tablespoon of egg white in place of a tablespoon of water to make it "fluffier" since they tend to be quite dense. You can make banana shake into pretty decent pancake with 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1-2 tablespoons egg…

What is PB2? My Medifast counselor told me this morning when I was weighing in that a great way to get your peanut butter fix is to take the soft serve peanut butter mix, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until it is the right consistency for your "ideal" peanut butter (crunchy vs smooth), then spread it into a couple…

I prefer the treadmill indoors either at home or at the gym. I also like hot yoga. As weird as that sounds, it is soooo good for the body and makes the dry heat seem like a breeze after you get out of the humid hot yoga room.

I love the Lemon Greek Salad or the Spicy Garlic Lime Shrimp from the MF cookbook.

I've seen several people say that they continue to eat Medifast foods even after they are done because it is safe and fairly easy. That's what makes Medifast so appealing to me, I only have to stress about exactly what I am eating once a day as far as measuring, calories, fat, etc. I'll be interested to learn what others…

Leanin08 -- WOW. You lost a lot of weight. And great job on keeping it off. Good idea about the diabetic shakes, I think I may switch next time I buy some for that very reason. FYI for Ivy -- I had the sloppy joes this weekend and fell in love!! I was skeptical, because I did not like the chicken rice soup or the maryland…

I'm just getting started, too, but I can tell you that the shakes are good, the tomato soup is good, the soft bakes are pretty good, the crunch bars I've tried so far are okay but they are growing on me, & the pizza bites are not too bad. The chicken rice soup is awful and the pancakes are tricky to make. I'd love to hear…
