I log my whole day in the morning, make sure my calories add up to my goal, and STICK TO IT! At first I was having bad evening cravings - I love salty snacks - so I would drink a big glass of water and brush my teeth right after dinner. It curbed my cravings and now I don't have evening cravings at all

I eat the same salad for lunch every day too! 3 cups mixed lettuce/spinach cucumber apple 1 hard-boiled egg 1/2 can of tuna raspberries or blueberries (if I can afford them that week!) pecans fresh squeezed lemon juice and balsamic vinegar for dressing Love this tread... some really great ideas... thanks for posting!

I lost 15 pounds during the first month of Insanity but haven't lost a single pound since - (I will be finishing the 60 day program this Sunday). I have however, lost 6 inches around my waist during the second month alone. Don't give up!!! And take measurements or progress pictures like someone else suggested. It has…

I have been at the same weight for the last 3 weeks. I wouldn't sweat two weeks of no scale movement. Just make sure you have made room in your calories for the beer and cheetos. And if you don't have room... the teeth brushing thing really does work. I do that right after dinner and drink a big glass of cold water and I…

A co-worker brought in a pack of those big Costco muffins. I really wanted a taste but knew they were terrible cal. wise. I cut the muffin into quarters and had half of one piece. After logging it I realized 1/8 of a muffin was 120 CALORIES!! I almost died! Couldn't imagine eating a whole one now. Lesson learned... log…

Hiking. The forest is so peaceful that you don't realize you are working up a sweat. And the feeling of pride and satisfaction when you get to the top of the mountain is unbeatable!

The meal plan that comes with the program is really easy to use. I would recommend that. It also comes with a list of easy substitution so you can customize your meals some if you want to.

I started running at 230 and finished a 12k this spring. Running in general can be uncomfortable in the beginning. If you can struggle through the discomfort it is worth it. Make sure you know the difference between discomfort and pain though. Good luck!

Great attitude! I have noticed that I loose and gain in cycles. Logging my weight on a regular basis (regardless of an up or down) has helped me see these cycles and I'm not quite as shocked when I see them now. I can see that I gain about 7-9 pounds every month during my TOM and it takes about four days after that to go…

If he wants McDonalds or doughnuts then maybe you should let him go have them by himself and just stay home?? My boyfriend loves pizza and beer (which I do too) but just because he wants that for dinner doesn't mean we have to eat the same thing... kinda common sense. What do you want more? To be joined at the hip with…

Peel and freeze a banana then blend it with a splash of milk. you could also add a little coco if you wanted. I love the banana by itself though. It has a very creamy, icecream-ish texture.

I used to have a huge sweet tooth also. Chocolate especially. I started brushing my teeth right after dinner and it really curbed my cravings. It took a couple weeks but now I barely crave sweets at all anymore.

I love pumpkin too! do you know the calorie, fat, protein breakdown per serving size?

It took more that a week to put it on so its going to take more then a week to loose it. Be patient!! I've been on my journey for 5 weeks and find myself discouraged quite a bit too. It helps me to look at before and after pictures I can find on this site. It makes me realize that it IS possible and it renews my faith in…

I have tried the whole 'keep it a secret' thing in the past and I would only stay motivated for a couple weeks at a time and then go back to my same bad habits. This time however (after finding myself at my largest), I joined MFP and started the INSANITY program. I told my boyfriend, co-workers, roommates, sister and some…

I finished my first month of Insanity yesterday and am down 8 pounds and have seen a huge difference in my strength and energy levels (I am also following the meal plan to the ounce). The workouts are hard so accept that you are going to be uncomfortable for a while each day and that you will be dripping with sweat. I feel…
