I'm not familiar with LoseIt. Does it use the NEAT formula or TDEE? (Did you add your exercise calories to your daily goal or not?) MFP uses the NEAT method, so you would add any workout calories on top of that to get your true calorie goal each day. Also, it does sound like you're lightly active and not sedentary, so I…

When you come out of a prolonged calorie deficit you will restore your gycogen levels and glycogen is stored in water. (Remember the five pounds of water weight you lost the first week? Well, it's back.) If you want your goal weight to be the highest you're willing to go, then you're not done losing. Otherwise, accept the…

Details like your age, height, weight, body fay % (if you know it), your goals and workout type (and intensity) will help you get better answers.

5'6, 135 lbs, recomping on 2200 calories daily. I do resistance training 3/week and walking or interval training 3-5/week. Carbs: 220 Fat: 90 Protein: 125

Exactly. You need to find an eating pattern that is sustainable for you. Meal timing, frequency, etc., are all irrelevant except for how well you'll be able to maintain that schedule. Setting yourself up on a plan that doesn't fit your lifestyle and you won't stick to is pointless. So...when are YOU most hungry? Least…

That's not weird. That's just solid advice for everyone, not only short women. I went from 23% to 16% bodyfat in a few months doing resistance training 3xweek with a few days of walking and zero heavy cardio. (Also, I'm also 5'6 now instead of 5'5 - I put it down to better posture.) HW: 235 (maybe - probably - more) SW…

Yup, and I need daily supplements. It went way down when I stopped eating dairy. (Intolerance issue...I miss yogurt...)

Your calorie goal depends on your stats and your workouts, none of which you've offered up, so you won't get any really good answers until those are known. That being said, I lose at 2100. (I'm 45, 5'5, 135 pounds and I workout 6xweek.) A larger deficit doesn't mean you'll lose and maintain that loss in a healthy way. And…

As long as your family budget can support any sort of financing, it's not selfish at all. It's tough on the head doing all this hard work not to be happy with the result. I had a tummy tuck in June. My husband says it's the best money we ever spent, just to know that every time I look In the mirror I'm not scowling at…

I'm just coming off a four month recovery from surgery, so we'll see where it falls after I get my strength back! My pushups SUCK right now! Eating more would be a chore, so I may have to cut out cardio completly. lol

I've been maintaining for 10 months now. I'm (almost) 46, 5'5, fluctuating between 133-138 and my maintainance calories are 2500. (I use the TDEE method, so my exercise calories are included in my daily total.) I do a little barbell work (deadlifts, mainly) and some bodyweight stuff 3xweek (45-60/session) and I walk 3xweek…

Mine are the same. They're no longer big and fat, just big and strong. I love them!!

I started to look like my mom, and then I started to eat right and exercise and now I look better than I did in high school. (My mom is still adorable, though. ) She's wrong, the choice is yours, and you may want to talk to her about how you feel about her words to you.

This fix works for me: http://karoshiethos.com/2013/08/10/bookmarklet-for-more-accurate-goal-percentages-in-myfitnesspal/

It also depends on the quality of your sleep, as well. I can do great on 5.5-6 hours if it's solid and then other days I need more. I have a Fitbit that tracks my sleep. If I'm groggy I can seel when I log on to my dashboard that it was a restless night, even if I don't rememeber waking up.

That thing is NASTY! I had mine in for about three months before I had it yanked, so i didn't gain any weight in that short amount of time, but it was a struggle not to. Give this a read, it's awesome! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants

Thanks!

Exactly. I tried to do cheat days but it didn't help me with my relationship with food, at all. Today's menu was chocolate, pizza and tacos...all without cheating on anything.

My TT was $8300. I saved almost half and got the rest covered by a medical financing company, so it's not too bad. I'm paying $110/month for four years, but they let you pay it off whenever you want to.

The EatSmart brand is really good. I got my bathroom scale on Amazon for around $40. http://www.eatsmartproducts.com/

Sorry, but abs are made in the kitchen, not a labratory. Cardio isn't even necessary, but resistance training helps.

I've been maintaining for almost a year now, and people have been calling me "tiny", etc., for more than that, but I still have the same problem as you on occasion. After years of seeing a fat girl in the mirror it can be a head game, for sure. I weigh a good 20+ pounds more than what people think I do. Are you doing any…

A lot of your diary entries are by the cup or the bowlful. Unless you're weighing your food, you're probably eating quite a bit more than you think you are. Give this and the links in here a read: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants And find a way to get your…

This is a very valid question.

Bring some sparkling water. Bring some juice. Drink what you want to. Really, nobody worthwhile will care. Trust me.

No problem. The Rock was a WAY sassier way of saying it, though!! You'll get used to the heap of sarcasm on here and that is when this place gets fun!

The point of this is that the vast majority of women don't have enough testosterone to get bulky, no matter how much they lift. And cardio isn't necessary for anything more than cardiovascular health. OP: WTG on the pull ups. That's awesome!!!

That's not stupid. That's fantastic!!! The day my engagement ring wouldn't fit is the day I decided enough was enough. Congratulations!!

If you really can't get over the guilt, maybe try calling it something positive like a re-feed day. You're in control of how you talk to yourself and your own feelings. You don't have to feel guilty about eating. That's counterproductive, in my opinion.
