Your HRM is about right. I burn like 250-300 calories in cardio two so if you do an extra half hr or so 500 is about right if your busting *kitten*. I would just eat as healthy and unprocessed as you can and get a Good workout in. That will release those happy cells into your brain and help you with depression. Exercise helps me with this a lot.

I love my HRM Polar ft4. I tell people all the time, especially if they eat back their exercise calories, to get a hrm. Some things MFP over or under estimates on my burns. It also make me realize when im not busting my *kitten* enough and keeps me in check.

It all depends on how comfortable you are. I was 50 pounds over weight and still went running. It is a great workout, but i mean I wasn't very good when I started but worked my way up to it. Did my first 5k last month and felt really proud.
