All I could muster was "you caught me.... I come for the free shower". Your answer probably would have been more appropriate.

I posted earlier in the thread.... but forgot to mention you ladies are all welcome to add me.

Love to lift!!!

I love love love coconut oil!! I put it in tea, add it my butternut squash soup, in my smoothies... the list goes on. I have also been know to use it as a moisturizer.

Congrats on the new beginning and great that you have a wonderful friend to motivate you :) I do want to say that food IS your friend though. It fuels you and makes you run like the beast machine you need to be :)

I think you totally could... although you may not want to. You can decide how you feel as you get closer. Below is a pic of me at 268 lbs, then 175 lbs... a 93 lbs loss! I am not currently this weight as I gained a bunch from having a baby and some crappy medication (Currently 216 lbs).... but I wanted to show you that it…

Who says that? I think your boyfriend needs a kick in the face. As an added bonus, it will probably get your mind off of your cravings too.

I say that it can, but not in every circumstance. After being tested, I found that I have several intolerances... but the big offenders are gluten, soy, yeast and msg. Gluten requires that I am close to a bathroom (sometimes for multiple days), soy bloats the crap out of me (I believe it may also be messing with my…

I am a sweaty mess when I leave the gym. I don't even bother with makeup now, unless it is a special occasion.

Check the quality (like you would anywhere else) and if you aren't afraid of some price matching (sometimes sales are better elsewhere), they do offer that service :)

Tell him while you are naked. If your man if anything like mine, he didn't hear a damn word you said and when he chases you around the room.... you can pretty sure the number on the scale doesn't mean much to him either.

Two things to keep in mind. I am 5'6 and 216 lbs.... so technically considered obese. I do have plenty of meat (working on that!), but there is no part of me that feels or looks obese. Love lifting!!! And no... I never make my bed :)

I just eat when I am hungry. Its is typically every few hours.... but I don't really set my watch by it or anything.

I have issues with gluten and soy, so it was hard to find anything that was clear of both. Even the Vega ones were horrible. They can call them gluten free, but my stomach says they are filthy liars. I use Heartland Brown Rice Protein. It is free of all allergens and no extra ingredients if you get the plain one. The…

The goal is to keep gaining strength. That will only happen if you lift heavier and heavier weights. So, go for it!! Grab some 5's and keep going up as you feel comfortable. And for real!! That is a fantabulous goal to have at any age. Many of the people in the gym are over 60 and while they may not be body builders, they…

Its definitely not a fun process. I was put on lithium for a short period but it had a bad effect on my thyroid and my electrolytes (despite great efforts) and gained really fast. 10 lbs in about 2 weeks and it stayed after I stop the medication.... was really hoping it was water weight. I am now on lamotrigine and find…

33 with 50-60 lbs left to lose. Feel free to add me :)

I totally agree with this!! Lately my salad has been made with 2 cups spinach, a med sized pear, a couple strawberries and some mixed nuts.. and a nice dressing of course. I often have 3 boiled eggs for protein if I don't have something else already made. A woman at my office make some pretty fantastic salads too with…

I second this.

Its is definitely a good start, but where you start is not a concern. The goal is to continually gain strength and to do it with good form.
-
Agreed!! This still happens to me when I change up my program.

Yes.. at a naturopathic clinic. This is the one I went to... they explain the method pretty well here and you don't require a requisition from a doctor. http://revivelifeclinic.com/services/labs/allergies-food-intolerences/#overview Or you can it done at a blood lab like this one... but it requires a doctor requisition.…

My fave is a salad made with approx 2 cups spinach, a cut up pear, a couple sliced strawberries and some mixed nuts. Top with dressing of choice and 3 boiled eggs.

I had it done at a naturopathic clinic, but you can have it done at a blood lab with a doctor requisition.

THIS!!! And you can actually be tested for food intolerances. After having my daughter, I appeared to have an issue with gluten. I had no idea what was going on, so I took dairy out of my diet for a period and found no difference. I figured gluten was another common one, so I cut it out of my diet and found it helped…

Absolutely!! It may not be a huge calorie burn, but if your goal is just to burn calories, then any kind of movement will do that.

Its more... eat as much as you can without gaining weight (Eating at TDEE). Then, doing small cuts of no more than 10% to create a small deficit for fat loss for a period, then back to TDEE and repeat until you have reached desired results. After that, you can continue at TDEE or set new goals to gain more muscle by…
