He does on his website, but I think you have to be a member of his Inner Circle to get to it. I can copy and paste after dinner.

TDEE is Total Daily Energy Expenditure, or basically it is your BMR + daily activities calories burned (everyday walking, etc) + dedicated exercise workouts calories burned. It's all the calories you burn all day long including your exercise. There are numerous TDEE calculators on the internet. I like this one:…

I used to be like that. I've been on this journey long enough to break myself of it, though. When I first started out, I was the person who scoffed at "junk" food because it had "no nutritional value" and such. I never would let candy or other things touch my lips, let alone get ingested. Then I started reading more,…

And you believe it was this particular diet, and not the fact that you are eating a calorie deficit and one that specifically sucked out your water due to reduced carb intake, that gave you success? Will you be able to eat like this forever, or are you prepared to gain a little water weight and perhaps feel a tad bloated…

If those were the ONLY choices, and I already knew that I liked the taste of both, then I would go for option 2 because it is healthy fats you need and extra protein. Carbs are about the same, so it wouldn't make a difference to me. Of course, another question would be how large is each serving? Obviously if option 1…

So much this. I used to be the one to bust my *kitten* in the gym 5-6 days a week, but about 3 weeks ago I injured myself on bench press day in the gym. I don't even know which exercise it was that did it, but for the whole week afterwards, I couldn't lift with my upper body at all. The past 2 weeks, I've been able to ease…

I'm making a turkey meatloaf with marinara sauce instead of ketchup, and I am having steamed green beans with it.

You left out the chocolate chips. :flowerforyou:

looks friendly to me

lolwut? For a personal trainer, she doesn't seem to know much about squats. It actually is more harmful to the knees to do half-@$$ squats (staying too high above parallel) than @$$ to grass squats.

If you don't like it, send it back. They have a money back gaurantee. There really is no point in trying to choke down something you don't really like simply to get the powdered nutrition found within which you can get EASILY in better tasting choices.

It's scare mongering and psuedo science at its best. It is designed to have the look and feel of real science, when what it really has are a couple of facts that are twisted and mangled so it looks as though they are somehow connected. I don't have the links right now, but I have seen pages on the internet where this book…

Shake diets don't teach you how to properly portion your meals, so when you do lose weight having the shakes and go back to eating real food again, you will most likely gain the weight back since you didn't go through the learning process of counting calories, determining how many calories your body needs, etc. Shake diets…

I use Jefit to track my lifting workouts, Endomondo connected via blue tooth to my HRM to track calories burned in cardio workouts, MFP to track food, and Fitbit to track approximate TDEE which is synced up to all the other apps. It has been much easier to lose fat by using the TDEE estimates day to day from Fitbit than…

Agreed with no no spot reduction. Just eat a moderate calorie deficit and do some exercise. Have patience, and it will come off.

The one in my town has free weights, but they are dumbbells less than 50 pounds and no barbells at all. It's basically a room with 3987520957209357 treadmills and one little line of dumbbells with a couple of benches. Oh, but they do have free pizza on Saturdays... My vote would be no, unless you just want to do cardio.

Once in a while, it is actually recommended to take a diet break and eat at maintenance or a little above. I'm sure you won't be gaining anything, and you probably did your body good by eating more. Enjoy those calories!

Weight changes occur because you ate too many or too few calories relative to your TDEE. Lemon tea doesn't allow you to break the laws of thermodynamics.

I agree that it is not that uncommon, and definitely a more common characteristic of my personal definition of a curvy woman. My underbust is 3" bigger than my 26" waist...but if I were more "curvy" my waist would be smaller and there'd be more difference there. But like I said, I am beanpole, not curvy, haha.
-
This is exactly why I measure myself and only shop at places where I can try them on before buying. My underbust is 29 inches and my overbust is 35. In most American made bras, I fit great in 32DDD, but if I buy a European bra I need to go down in band and up in cup to a 30G. If you do that "add 4 inches" thing, I would…

You are not going to find many positive reviews for things like this on MFP. The majority of the community has lost a great deal of weight simply by eating less than maintenance and working out. There's no short cuts and no magic formulas, even if "doctors" like the quack Oz gets paid to peddle them on TV. Good luck on…

I'm not happy with the way my body looks right now. Sure, I am in a healthy BMI, but my body fat percentage is 21 and my goal is around 16%. I don't care much about my scale weight, but I know that I will lose some when I am cutting fat. I would rather judge my success and determine goals based on how comfortable I am in…

It only matters if you an allergy or sensitivity to certain foods, or if you have religious or other such reasons to not eat meat. Otherwise, it doesn't matter.

I frequently jog in place in front of the TV to get my step count up, and I can assure you that it is NOT cheating. I'm not sure about *walking* in place, but jogging or running in place takes plenty of energy and is not cheating.
-
I don't think you are too thin at all. I would simply do some heavy lifting and eat slightly more than your maintenance to build some muscle, as was suggested before. Perhaps if you had more lean mass, then your family would view you differently.

If I were drinking something right now, it would totally be squirting out my nose laughing at this statement. Since when is the cost of my weekly groceries "super cheap" for a bag of powder? I used to be a "coach" before it was all about padding the wallets of the participants, so I know what it costs as a "coach." As far…

It honestly doesn't sound like this guy was creepy at all. To me, it sounds like you are extremely self conscious and can't handle someone bothering to look in your direction. In that case, run outside in the rain.

This. People who buy Beachbody products tend to follow their one-size-fits-all diet plan, don't measure and weigh their food, and then blame the exercise when they didn't lose what was expected. :noway: For personal reference, by calculating my TDEE doing Insanity workouts and taking 15% from that number as my goal, I…
