  • YOU did not get bashed. SHAKEOLOGY got bashed.
  • It's apparently another "give me your thoughts unless I disagree with them" thread.
  • I've never had banana Reese's. And Shakeology never tasted like Reese's at all to me.
  • I used it because I had a free supply for a long time. It tastes good ONLY when I mixed in a crap ton of other ingredients. Can you imagine spending $120 on the stuff and then about $50 more per week just to make it palatable? Geez. It had NO EFFECT on my hunger pains, weight loss, or health in general. People who claim it…
  • cheerful, adorable, creative
  • I'm a "do both" kind of person. Both are important for different reasons. My cardio makes my lifts better. My lifts make my cardio easier. It all makes me healthier. It all makes me faster, more agile, more flexible, and greatly affected my labs at the doctor for the better along with consistent healthy eating. Why must…
  • If my boyfriend would have never proposed, I would have broke up with him. We've been married 3 years now. I wasn't looking for a long term dating relationship. I was looking for love and marriage. These past 3 years have been worth everything to me, and I wouldn't change it for nothing. But you shouldn't rush into it…
  • I think you should be able to finish. And also think of it this way...so what if you have to walk at the end? It gives you reason to keep training and improving so your time is better next time. If you want to do it, then do it! I'm sure you will surprise yourself.
  • I prefer the taste of full fat, but oftentimes low fat is lower on calories too. So it really depends on what fits in my diary. I don't have issues with either, generally.
  • I'd wither away and die on that diet. I have those "high" carbs daily. And at least twice that amount of protein. :flowerforyou:
  • Black licorice is not a food, therefore, any discussion about eating it is null and void.
  • What DOES she listen to? I mean, if there are other bands she likes, maybe it's worth salvaging. ...Maybe.
  • I always hated the way that I looked, but the physical side of it was never actually enough fo rme to do anything about it (which I guess it why my current goals are still not fat loss related, but more sports oriented). For me, I went to the doctor when I was 25 years old and found out that I had high cholesterol (among…
  • I love it. I have 8 ounces with a scoop of protein powder (usually chocolate flavor) and some sliced strawberries for a mousse-like high protein dessert.
  • There. Fixed that for you.
  • My Type O+ blood enjoys pizza and beer. If that's not what you're talking about, then... <insert funny O face gif here> :flowerforyou:
  • Those pictures are soooo misleading. I didn't look anything like those pictures when my body fat was coming down. If I looked like they depict at 30% when I was 30%, I wouldn't have complained so much. But when I was professionally tested at just 26%, I looked closer to that 40% picture than the smaller ones... Also, I…
  • The hardest part for me is stopping when I reach my calorie limit for the day. I'd really like to eat about 2500-3000 calories a day because I love food. But while I am losing fat, my goal is between 1500-1800 calories. Exercise has always come easy to me since I am one of those "weirdos" that actually loves to run, do…
  • I have a healthy enchilada recipe, btw...it's actually in my meal plan for this week already pre-logged. :flowerforyou:
  • Depends on the workout. I lift weights after getting off of work, so about 7:30 in the morning (I work third shift). I run after waking up about 2 hours after breakfast, so usually around 5 or 6 in the evening.
  • On a calorie deficit, the more I run (and the more weight I lift, for that matter) the leaner I become...the opposite of "bulking up." Far too many women think that exercise will make them bulky. It's an irrational fear. It's like refusing to drive a car because you think you'll magically become a champion Nascar driver.
  • Everyday, every single day, I eat either potatoes, rice, pasta, or couscous with my biggest meal of the day. I get enough fat and protein to reach my goals, and the rest I just fill in with tasty foods. I love potatoes and pasta in particular have them all the time. It has never hindered my weight loss as long as I stayed…
  • To get better at running, you don't "just run." A majority of runners would actually laugh at that, including myself. To get faster and prepared for my first 5k, I've been doing plyometrics, hill sprints, and weight lifting along with "just running" throughout the week. When my training was just running, I didn't get…
  • This was sooo ME until the middle of February this year. I *thought* my goal was to lose fat and get a physique like fitness competitors have, and I'd even write out these plans to get there and would stick to them for a couple of weeks before venturing off into la-la land. When I finally figured out what it was that I…
  • I'm personally more of a writer than a speaker. So if I were in that situation, I would personally write a letter to management describing all that was overheard and who said them (naming all people involved). I would also write how it made me feel and how I am now considering going to another gym and encouraging all my…
  • My scale also tells me 29%. I mean...look at the picture on the right side of my avatar. I am about the same size now. That is NOT 29%, lol. The Navy method tells me 27% because my waist circumference is larger than I'd like...but I am a banana shape, not a curvy little hour glass. Calipers tell me 22%, which is getting…
  • I love--- 1) Running and being able to consistently run faster each time I go longer distances 2) The fact that even though I am definitely not at my lowest weight, I am smaller and leaner than I ever have been with a nearly flat stomach 3) To travel and see the world. I like going on vacations and even mini weekend…
  • I think the point is that these days the word "skinny" has a negative connotation, similar to what you call "somewhat anorexic." But you have to remember that he said it was copied straight from a female magazine...so I guess that's just what those particular readers are used to saying. I'm curious to see what numbers 3…
  • I must be doing it wrong since squats gave me a nice @$$ and took an inch off my thighs. I've progressively increased my weight from just the bar to a max of over 200 pounds in about 5 reps per set. Hmmm...
