Do one thing better today than you did yesterday.

I tend to do the same thing. What I try to do, and it seems to help a little, is to surround myself with lower calorie foods at night. So I'll make a big bowl of homemade popcorn, or have a few apples ready for when I want to snack. It seems to be the only way I can not go way over my calories.

Couldn't have said it any better myself...

I think typically IT band pain is on the outside of the knee. That is where I got mine. I'm not sure what yours is. If it is the IT band, the single best way to stretch it (for me at least) is to get a foam roller, and roll the band out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoHBDim_fzk And yes, they recommend you stop or at…

I do agree with this. But I had to give a pair of my shoes about a week or so of shorter runs (around 3 miles) to get "used" to them. My feet, specifically the ball of my foot, hurt during and after my runs for about a week. If the store is any good they should have a 30 day return policy. If they don't, I would recommend…

Yeah I wouldn't certainly say a brand is better than another brand. It all comes down to what kind of support they have (or don't have) and how it feels. I have Asics, New Balance, Sacony's and Vibram 5 fingers, which I like all equally well.

I have these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MS8B50/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i01 And wore them on my first marathon, and it was about 30 degrees F at the start of the race. They are great. Kept my legs warm, but not hot. I plan on using them a lot this winter.

part of the reason why your weight loss is slowing down is because you are retaining more muscle when you are losing. A pound of weight loss isn't all fat... you lose some muscle with that. If you weight train, you keep more muscle and lose more fat per pound. I say that to say this... maybe it isn't a bad thing that you…

LIke everyone is saying here, try little things. Walking during your lunch can help. do you normally sit down during your day? If so, can you stand up? Even standing up may help. Or take a lap around work every so often.
