I don't see how your base goal can be set to 1,900 and you're still expected to lose weight...? If you set your activity level to active then I don't think you're expected to eat back your exercise calories if it's that particular exercise that makes you qualify as "active". Just my $0.02

I'm 5'0", I eat around 1,600-1,800 calories a day, but I exercise most days giving me a NET of around 1,200-1,400 calories - my food diary's open to the public

My 21st birthday = a lot of quesadillas, birthday cake, a lot of margaritas, cocktails, wine and jagerbombs (probably way more than 400 calories over my limit  - still managed a loss the following week even after hangover KFC the next day... it was one day and the rest of your week probably balanced it out; make up…

Yeap, I'm in Wellington

No, I probably wouldn't date someone shorter than me, but I'm 5'0"; it'd be pretty hard to find a man that's shorter than me

Nah, I don't eat back my exercise calories; I went on to this site: http://www.calculatorlab.com/HowDoIMeetMyWeightLossGoal You put in your current weight + goal weight + height + age + activity level and it tells you how much you should eat and how long it'll take to reach your goal. I set the activity level to…

I feel crappy and angry on 1,200 calories a day too, so I make sure I get some exercise in and eat around 1,600-1,800 a day. Hope this helps

1) Exercise properly. Push yourself and set exercise goals; don't just sit on the elliptical for 30 mins at a slow-moderate pace, make yourself sweat. 2) Try and get a good amount of fruits and veges in your daily diary 3) Allow yourself to have your treats if you want them, just make sure they're within your calorie limit…

I don't have designated cheat days, but if I'm over by a couple of hundred calories one day because I went out, or ate too much without exercising, I try not to worry about it too much. But when I know I'm gonna be going out I try and plan my day accordingly. For example, I went out to dinner for my 21st birthday and we…

I weigh myself whenever I feel like it, which could be once a fortnight, once a week, or twice a week; I record whenever it's gone down significantly (i.e. by a pound or so)

I'm a small (read: less defined) pear, according to a body shape calculator. Bust: 34" Waist: 28" Hips: 37"

It is doable - you've just gotta cut down on the fried foods and chocolate etc that I can see from your food diary. If you up your vege, fruit and wholegrain intake you'll find it's very easy to get by on 1,500 calories and not feel like you're starving yourself :) Do a bit of reading up on the internet about healthy…

I don't think you can actually get rid of them, but they do fade, even without creams and oils. I've had them since puberty (I think) but they've faded into silvery lines now (some 6-7 years later), and I think they look kind of cool

Yeah, the only thing I could think of is the nose, but it's not even that big or disproportionate or anything. You definitely DON'T need to do anything about it; you're pretty enough as it is

Thanks Em

http://www.calculatorlab.com/HowDoIMeetMyWeightLossGoal/index.php I went on here. You put in your weight + weight loss goal + exercise and it tells you how much you should eat per day. I'm eating at a 20% deficit, putting me at around 1600-1700 calories per day (gross calories; not net). I've been eating like this for the…

Yeah, I know how you feel - I felt the same the last time I had a no exercise day and I went over cals. But BostonMatt's right, you can't exercise everyday and your body probably needed the rest. Don't beat yourself up about it; you're right, tomorrow's a new day

Very cute  Congrats!!

I think that for most overweight people the default shape is apple (unless you're super lucky and have awesome genes that give you an hourglass shape). Once you lose a bit of weight your shape becomes a bit more defined. I was convinced I was an apple for ages, but once I dropped quite a bit of weight I did that shape…

I feel awesome after running 5k; tired, but awesome.

- Reaffirmed the fact that I've downsized to an NZ size 10 (US 4) whilst buying a new pair of gym pants - Didn't eat any Oreos today

Where do you play? I play video games and board games with friends and family in my lounge room, and pool (billiards) at a place in downtown Wellington. What do you read? Atm I only have time for Batman comics as leisure readings - everything else is either case law, statute law, or a legal based textbook How do you spend…

Way more shapely in the second pic. P.S. And I like your hair!

I thought the rise in C-sections had something to do with the rise in obesity? I haven't read any studies on it or anything, so this is just speculation, but most, if not all, of the obese mothers I know gave birth via C-section; dunno if there's any correlation there.

No.

What an amazing story - you should be extremely proud of yourself! Good luck with that last 50 lb, I'm sure they'll be no problem! P.S. that last picture of you is so cute!

Interesting - my goal weight's bang in the middle of the recommended ideal weights, I didn't think I'd be able to maintain much less than my goal weight and perhaps I was right? I'm 5'0" Wrist circumference = 5.75 inches Frame size = medium Recommended Ideal Weight = Between 113-126 lb Goal Weight = 118 lb
