As a recovering coffee addict: half hot water 2 non dairy creamers top off with fresh brewed coffee 25 calories - once per day - works for me! :)

Its deceiving (and highly debated on here as well) - my personal opinion is that that there are "good" calories and "bad" calories. 200 calories from an apple is way different than 200 calories from Doritos. There are food industry trolls on here who will argue that "a calorie is a calorie" but I don't feel that is sound…

Although I don't disagree with you on the fact that if eaten responsibly, fast food items can fit into the proper daily calorie intake, I think there are other aspects about fast food that still keep it on my sh_t list as far as food I choose to avoid in my diet. First off is the entire environment - bright colors, photos,…

I have not read through all the posts on here so if I repeat anyone or contradict anyone directly - apologies. Strength training is a combination of weights, body weight exercises and core cardio. There are various programs you can follow to achieve this. I personally have been using P90X since January and it is now the…

PS - loading up on carbs and sugars increases fat and cholesterol production in the body way more than fat does... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B56Gpf1f5_A

Sweet potatoes, artichoke heats, brown rice, fish (salmon, tuna, shellfish), egg whites, almond milk, protein mixes (I use Herba Life Formula one). Avocados and nuts are super calorie dense and super good for you - the fats are healthy fats and actually help you to lose wight and reduce HDL...

Glad I could help - not really proud of the negative reasons listed, but it is just honestly how I feel now days... very surprising to me how many people around me would rather see me fail or try to derail my fitness than see me be happy now...

For me it is a combination of positive and negative reinforcement: Positive - I like how I look in the mirror - I like how I feel - I like that my cholesterol and blood numbers are perfect - I truly love preparing and eating healthy, wholesome foods - I like increasing my strength and fitness which allows me to do almost…

I take a medium avocado, scoop out both sides into a bowl, pinch of salt and mash up then eat it like an egg substitute for breakfast on 12 grain toast. AWESOME

The moderators will lock any post that any user's might find offensive - just read the terms of agreement on the site it's spelled out in there and the fact that you are surprised is.... well... surprising...

I don't mean to pick apart your post but just some questions... So you were you diagnosed with HypoThyroidism? "even walking 3 miles a night with a group of woman." How Often? Heart Rate? "Took me all summer to lose 20 pounds..." . So you lost 20 pounds in 2 months (8 weeks) - 2.5 pounds per week. Recommended healthy…

Fruits and unsalted nuts are the best things to snack on in my humble opinion...

Actually, boxed cereals... I have found almost all of them have too much sugar and carbs - even the "healthy" ones... Plain 'ol Oatmeal is king now...

Thanks for responding to the Post Lauren - lots of great suggestions on here - guess I will just pick a natural one and give it a shot again.

Nothing like "Bro-Vice" on the forums... Obesity is caused by overeating and leading a sedentary lifestyle...

It's a topic on here that is highly debated. Some people feel there is no such thing because all food is processed to a degree (even produce). I personally define it as shopping the perimeter of the market. Center aisle foods are generally highest in refined sugar and additives. Here's a video that may also help you too...…

Is it the same process by which your body can tell the difference between sugar and anti-freeze prior to sudden organ failure???
-
As I am not a doctor, certified trainer or nutritionist, I don't want to offer "Bro" type answers, but in general bloating is usually caused by water retention. Water retention can be caused by a lot of things, but from what I have read on my own, the biggest cause may be if you have too much sodium (salt) in your diet…

^^^This. I would also add, hard work, sweat, and a healthy disciplined diet. No quick fixes - sorry!
