I loved that show too! It was so scandalous. and then the kid went missing- I think it was a joint effort. Had I left it alone it'd still be safe. I also singlehandedly canceled that show that came on after Lost about the Lawyer with a brain tumor. I could go on and on....

I am both as well- Thread and Good TV ninja.:glasses: Anyone like October Road? I claim the fault of that one. I rarely watch TV (no cable) but when I do, it's trouble for that show.

Cut potato in to 1 inch strips put in plastic ziplock bag with 1/2 tsp kosher salt (or regular salt.) 1/4 tsp cinnamon (or more if you like cinnamon) 1/4 tsp cumin * optional* 1 tbsp of olive oil. Shake and rotate so everything gets covered. Bake on 425 for 30 minutes. enjoy!!

I sometimes cut it into chunks and soak it in a low sodium soy sauce and then bake it. It's pretty good that way. sometimes I'll roll it up in crushed peanuts and breadcrumbs first. Also very tasty. Other than that I add it to my stir fries, of carrots, peas, mushrooms garbanzo beans and rice. And sometimes I'll eat it in…

You can do it Amanda, just don't be ashamed if you do have to take a short walk break. You still rock for showing up!

Georg, I agree with what you are saying, but if this guy is a habitual jerk, I can understand why your friend told you. I recently went through some interpersonal issues with some people who were once my friends and when I knew that everyone knew that they had some major problems with me before I knew, I was pretty…

Wow, Dude. Good progress. Look's like you're getting it done. I know you were asking for advice, but I want to offer congrats on racing so much. I'm sure you'll shave that time off.

Tabbs has a point, your husband is likely more likely to stare down "the girls" and also more likely to notice the difference, as he's more familiar with them.

I do it frequently. I think you'll be okay, if it's not a daily habit or anything. It may be a good idea to try to walk around a bit or get some exercise after your big-calorie dinner, but I think you'll be okay.

Here goes nothing.... 1. I shake my fork or spoon before I eat my food. My husband routinely laughs when he takes me out to dinner, apparently after almost 7 years together (not married, just together) he still finds it funny. I think I do this to remove any loose crumbs that might get on my face, but now it's just habit.…

Just a tiny piece of advice for those of us in America- Target has some nice Champion brand sports clothing (including non-cotton running socks complete with arch support) for considerably less than other places. I'm sure they probably aren't quite as high quality, but if you happen to be economically challenged it's a…

Yeah. If you're reading this Mike, Super Job! No complaints here. I am however patiently waiting for an iphone app- then I can take my beloved MFP everywhere I go!!!  But not a complaint, just a dream. A girl can dream.

I know that eating at a restaurant is rarely the solution but it seems to me that the biggest problem here is portion control. Perhaps every so often budgeting in a little extra calories and then visiting an upscale italian restaurant that serves pasta as more of a side than the feature would help you control portions. I…

 I am so sorry for both of you. That's really tough.

Everyone is right! You ROCK! Go girl!!!

I'm a very bad example of a petrol head (I have to admit as an American, I was scared to find out what that meant exactly! ) But I've had some nice wheels in my time. My first car was a '67 vet, it was green and rusty. I traded it for a 1978 silver. It was niiice- but not practical as I was learning to drive, so…

I noticed that you looked way different in your pic too. I can see you've made some progress! Congrats!

I don't always agree with PETA. But every once in a while they are right. KFC shouldn't torture chickens. And I'm still mad at Micheal Vick- I don't think a million dollar contract is the right thing to offer him- especially considering that he will be a role model for many, and has behaved so poorly... The ad doesn't make…

Yeah. Pleanty of seasoned runners go in with a goal of a 10 minute mile, so an 11 minute mile for a first timer sounds pretty super to me.

Ummm... It's not out on video yet (so no netflix or rentals). The Dollar/Old Movie theatre at my town was showing it a week or so ago. Maybe you could check yours out? It was an awesome movie BTW. 'Luck!

Hi ya! I just went canoeing over the weekend, and while it is different, it is similar to kayaking and there were plenty of kayakers out with us. We went to Blue River in Indiana. I can't swim and I am also afraid of water, but when I asked the guy who worked the ramp how likely it was I was going to die he said that the…

Maybe thing of it as a bonus- something fun that doesn't replace your exercise routine, but secretly enhances it. -Like something you do that helps out, but isn't "your exercise" for the day.

congrats everyone! Super Story. I never thought about trying on something I haven't been able to wear in a while. Then again, my tastes in high school were slightly different than they are now. I might scare the elementary school kids I work with (He He). And you have an awesome wife, I know many who would've burned the…

Being injured is the pits! I'm sorry about that! I know that it can definitely mess with your mood and motivation, especially when it keeps you from exercising. Focus on getting healed up and I think that upper body work like the hand cycling and strength training is a great idea. I don't know if your surgery allows, but…

I'm sure someone will disagree, but I was always raised with a big dinner that everyone sat down for, so I budget alot of my calories for dinner. I eat a very reasonable (filling) breakfast usually around 150 to 200 calories (oatmeal or something) and then a decent lunch (around 300 or so). And then snacks and dinner. I'm…

Yeah. I eat a lot of eggplant and folks are right. Eggplant parmasean and rattatoulie are both excellent recipes. Good luck.

From my understanding the nuva ring is like the pill, only it distributes (potentially different and in different doses of) hormones internally- so same thing, different delivery. Most likely similar results. Sorry.

Hope I'm not hijacking the thread- I've been trying to switch over to more natural, less processed foods. That being said I'm a vegetarian, but my husband is not and I'm the cook and grocery buyer. We are not rich folks- so while I'd love to buy chickens at my farmers market from the farmer, I really can't. So- is the…
