This made me laugh out loud  If only I could deny that those before pics are me... haha

Oh my goodness, look at him!!! I love his face! Congrats to you :flowerforyou:

Thank you everyone, the feedback is amazing! I never expected such amazing compliments! Thank you again  Tmiracle11~ I am also a chocolate fiend! I'll take cookies over chips any day!!! The trick is to not put it on the "don't" list. Allow yourself a treat, you deserve it! Just don't go overboard. If you…

So true, I try to talk to my boys about nutrition, portions and exercise as much as possible. Hopefully the next generation will be more informed than we all were!!!! And thank you for the compliment! :flowerforyou:

You will do great! You just need to push through it, even if you don't like it at first

I LOVE the Bolthouse Farm's brand chocolate protein shake. It's pre mixed in the cold section of your grocery store and it's absolutely delicious! It's not "gritty" at all like other shakes I've tried. I also love their fruit smoothie flavors (or Naked brand) and I blend it with Oikos vanilla greek yogurt to up the protein…

Because exercise is "extra." Think of it this way, I burn about 2200 calories in a day without any additional exercise. So if I have my calories set to 1700, that's a 500 calorie deficit. But if I burn 500 calories through exercise, that bumps my deficit to 1000 calories, which is way too low. I won't have enough "fuel" to…

 What a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing! You both look amazing

Since your calories are set so low, you absolutely should eat back your exercise calories! I would, however, suggest that you not eat them all back OR invest in a good HRM because MFP exaggerates calories burned a lot of the time.

You are putting too much pressure on yourself and you're setting too many expectations. 1 pound in a week is great! It's a slow process if you want to do it the right way. And saying, "I'm not losing fast enough, I quit" is like saying "I already blew breakfast, might as well blow the entire day!" It just doesn't make…

Absolutely wonderful job! You should be very proud! Good luck to you! :drinker:
-
Thanks  You're pretty darn cute yourself!
-
Haha! You made me chuckle  And thanks, I always hated my thick hips, but I am now learning to love them! I feel like I'll always have that womanly figure, even when I reach my goal and I think that's wonderful! It does suck though, to always be a size bigger than most girls my weight/height because of my…

Yay! I love new friends  Well, you are right on track. I know it seems like such a slow process, but that's how my journey was, too. It took me an entire year to lose 40 lbs... I know it's going to take a lot longer to get to where I want to be! Success that takes a while is still success!!!

Thank you! And thank you to everyone else! I may not respond directly to each of you, but please know that all of these comments are truly appreciated

Absolutely! My father is disabled and him and my mom are both retired. They came to live with my hubby and I about 3 years ago and my mom watches my youngest while I'm at work. We just moved to a new building at work which has a gym! I usually get off work early (around 2:30/3 in the afternoon) so I spend about an hour in…

Hi Amber! That's too funny! I LOVED the Color Me Rad! I will definitely do it again next year. There were plenty of people out there who were walking, I thought that was great. We had 10,000 runners plus all the spectators! It was definitely something I'll never forget! BTW, my middle name is Rose. How's that for a…

Haha Thank you! It's definitely a motivating factor  Thank you everyone! I can't get enough of these comments! They really mean a lot :flowerforyou:

Oh Beth, you would  Thanks for reading! I can't get enough of these comments! I just remember reading success stories when I first started and how motivating they were... it's nice to pay it forward by motivating others  Thank you everyone for taking the time to read and comment. It really means a lot!…

That's just what I needed to hear!!! Thank you  She just passed away in October, so she got to share a little bit of my journey with me. I'm sure she'll see me to the end!

Thanks!!! Good luck on your run! I had to tape my knees to get through my 5k. I believe you can tape your ankle, too (just for support). Google KT Tape and see what you can find out  And I loved the dress, but I didn't buy it! haha I seem to want to buy everything I try on these days!!!!

Thank you! I'm just under 5'5". I totally agree, don't get hung up on the numbers!!! That's why I don't have a goal weight, I'll stop when I'm satisfied  Good luck to you!!!
-
Thank you!!! I LOVE it! Just learned yesterday that it now syncs with MFP, which I like, but I'm still trying to figure out how that works  Good luck on your first 5k (both of you!!!) Color Me Rad is such a great experience!!! It's one you'll want to continue to do even after you've moved on to 10ks or marathons!
-
Wow, that's exciting!!!! Good luck!!!!
-
Wow, I am overwhelmed by all of your responses!!! This site and the MFP community are truly amazing! Thank you all for taking the time to comment!!!

Okay, so you may very well be around a size 12 when you get to the 140's! Which you will! That's US size, not sure where you're from as your profile is locked. I've got huge hips, as I've mentioned before, and I'd also be a pear shape if I didn't have my boobs and shoulders to balance them out HAHA
-
We are the exact same height :) I was a very stretched out size 16 when i was at 190 and I'm 148 now in a size 12. But I have big hips and tend to be a size bigger than most girls my weight, so I'd imagine you'd probably be in a 10 by then! Good luck, you can do it!
