  • Great Job... Awesome accomplishment to be proud of! I understand the 'not seeing self as fat' just a bit over weight. I too felt that way, it's only 20 lbs. Well all of them add up! I too plan to use MFP as a maintenance resource. Thank you for sharing your story and keep it up!
  • I have to agree. difference between curves and lumps/rolls. Agree...
  • Feel free to add me! I am on here all the time. Working to get the last few pounds off. I know I need to do more exercise and can always use motivation in that area! Also plan to continue using MFP for maintenance for years to come..
  • Oh my goodness.. I did not know chocolate tea existed. Thank you for this website link.. I believe it will try this!
  • This.. awesome.. make one! bet you can sell many!!
  • I struggle with this too.. I want to eat at night!! It is tough.. but what tends to work for me is to stay busy. If I am working on my computer, reading a book, playing a game on my phone or tablet, or something else occupying my mind and hands that helps. I have heard take up knitting, sewing or something with your hands…
  • I have to continually remind myself that I do not have to keep up with my husband. He is in shape. He burns the calories. We are two different bodies and each one needs different fuel. What it mostly comes down to for the both of us is portion size. I have to be sure to make my portions smaller. Make it the correct 1…
  • Would love to join.. 5'1". Have about 10-15 lbs to loose but have already lost 25 lbs... Need to kick it back in gear after the holidays.. did ok over the holidays but need to get back to eating better and more exercise.
  • Bump - would like to refer to this and see future comments on exercises with bad knees
  • You have to reduce your overall fat on your entire body. As you continue to lose, you will eventually see that fat on you back come off. I find the belly and thigh area are the last areas where fat will come off. Its about overall body fat loss. No specific exercise will magically take it off. Now the exercises mentioned…
  • This, I am barely 5'1 but I have my goal at 1400. 1200 was too little, I was still hungry. Also I did 1200 awhile and then didn't see weight coming off, so I raised it to 1400 and it came off again. You may have to change up your calorie count every month or two, which is what I think I need to do as I am not seeing much…
  • Greek Yogurt Plain Nonfat then add your own fruit if you desire a bit more flavor Another thing, look into protein shakes. Less added sugar, etc.
  • I have added a tad bit of crystal light, pretty good. start small, can always add more - Add small amount of Honey for sweetness - Have added small amount of pumpkin puree, mmmmm - Sprinkle of Splenda, but not too much - Fruit - Fresh or Frozen - I will buy frozen berries and put a few in yogurt
  • This I just don't wear skinny jeans. I dislike how tight they feel anyway. I like the idea of wearing certain skirts and such to show off the boots. I think that is more flattering than tucking the pants into the boots. Good Luck!
  • Cut up Fruits and Vegetables so you can grab a bite at a time. Wraps, just make ahead and cut into small pieces so easier to eat.
  • - LOL, Ceiling Fan.. that would be funny!
  • There a ton of websites with great recipes... and even if they say to use a whole chicken or chicken thighs, I have used chicken breasts. I like chicken breast meat the best and it is better for me! Another suggestion is to join Pinterest. I find a ton of recipes on Pinterest. Follow others with healthy recipe boards and…
  • Kudos to you for working on cutting out sugar. Keep at it. Yes, it is hard. Yes, many will moan and groan, but continue to provide other options. In years to come, the kids will realize the benefit. Work on purging the items with added sugar out of the house. If it is not available, then the less likely it will be chosen.…
  • Non Scale Victory. Don't worry I asked the same question a few weeks ago. Great Job.. Thanks for sharing! It is inspiring to read.. I can relate and I am sure so can many others. Great Job - Pat yourself on the back and just take it one day at a time.
  • You look Great! And I like that Kansas Sweatshirt in the first picture :) Rock Chalk!!! From a fellow JayHawker. :)
  • This at times.. sometimes we just need our own time and workout time is the best... Zone out to TV or just to enjoy music without any other distractions. But then again a class about once a week works because I do like to push myself and do better than the others in bootcamp classes! - but I could not work out with others…
  • I love Carbs, however, the way I lower my intake on Carbs is by focusing on other parts of my diet. I focus on Protein. I work on having protein in each of my meals including snacks. Protein helps keep me full and is essential in muscle repair, etc. By upping my protein, I without thinking eat less carbs. I don't worry…
  • Where's the muffin top?? Not one in the first picture.. Kidding.. know the feeling when it goes away.. it's great! Yes I can see a bit more definition in the second picture.
  • What others have said about need more information and yes change diet. Reduce fat and add Protein. Protein helps to repair mucsle which is needed especially when trying to gain mucsle. Also, is it truely as heavy as possible. The last couple reps, 9, 10 or 11, 12 should be hard to do. If they are fairly easy and not much…
  • Yes, consider the protein shakes. My trainer has always recommended them. I go in spurts, but when I add one, it really helps up the protein. The higher protein will help the muscles recover from exercise which will overall make you look and feel better. The calories from a protein shake will not bust a day. I mix my…
  • He looks GREAT as he is now. He does not need to be bigger.. Looking fit is better than looking huge! Sorry to any body builder or anyone out there who is bulking up greatly, but muscular fit is better than muscular huge! Advice of the others on protein and calories..
  • Love it! I was on the path of those above.. and read it and loved it!! Thanks!!
  • Bump for this website - Read later - looks like links to great information.
  • How do your clothes fit/feel? If they don't feel tighter, then I would say you are gaining muscle. That is a good thing. Don't look at the scale number and cringe about it. Use as a guide so you do not get out of control, however I would use your clothes as a guide. Compare yourself in the same pair of pants and if they…
  • I'd like to add, you look beautiful in you picture..
