  • just joining. I know it's sad, but since I don't get to run every day, I'm hoping this will help keep me on track :) (I hope this works) I know, people are working super hard and I wish I could run like them, but I'm a n00b so I'm aiming for 40 for this month and if I reach it, I'll aim for 45 for November :)
  • I'll get in on this. I like the ticker, but I really don't want yet another website sending me emails and whatnot, so I'll just post my goal and what I do here :) I have a 5k coming up at the end of the month, so yay 3 extra miles tacked on! lets try for 25 for the month I've done nearly 8 at the moment. I'm pushing myself…
  • I did it too. 4 weeks in a row. going up steadily. Something has to be done. I'm taking drastic measures this week.. we can do this! we mess up. we're human. we dust ourselves off and move on!
  • I did week 1: day 1 I'm super excited! but I gotta get me some decent running shoes. it's technically the second day, but the first day with the app. can only do it twice a week...
  • Ironically, with two disney loving children, I hear Rosetta, I think Garden fairy lol
  • whollybologna. years ago I tried to get an email address with "Holy Baloney" and it didn't work, so I tried a lot of different ones, whollybaloney, holybologna etc. this is the one that finally worked. *shrugs* it's stuck!
  • today I'm a nerd, because along with my standard bunch of exercising and writing, I'm working on crocheting an afghan based on a tetris pattern. My gosh, I want to wedgie myself just reading that! lol
  • rephrase: your body is burning fat and building muscle mass, therefore replacing fat with muscle which is denser. better?
  • your body is converting fat to muscle which is less dense (smaller but still weighs the same). eventually the fat will start to burn off and the scale will start to show your amazing progress. keep doing what you're doing! non scale victories are as important as scale ones if not more so. you can do it!
  • I was training for a 5k in September, but I can't do it this year because of stuff at work, I'm going to keep running tho, and there's a bike-a-thon in October that I'm going to be training for too. as for short term, I'm going to see my family in a few weeks and I'd like to lose weight to show them I can. I'm sick of…

  • words can really hurt. I know you're likely friends with that person and they were probably trying to encourage you, but it was very cruel in how they did it. They probably didn't realize they hurt you. Talk to them. If they're open and apologetic, then forget about it and focus on your weight and being the amazing…
  • I so want to do this! for the next 21 days I plan to 1. write down what I eat 2. get 6-8 glasses of H2O per day 3. burn 100+ calories working the muscles in my legs 4. lose 5 lbs not weight related spending time reading to my little girls from the word write at least 4 letters in the next month to my sisters finish 2…
  • I'm interested in the challenge for sure, but my weight would come from the Monday before. That's when my group weighs in.
  • with not many days left in February, will you be starting a March challenge? I did one last year in May 2012 (back when I was pregnant) and lost 22 pounds! (okay, I had a baby) ;) I'd love to get on board again and get focused. I have a goal in mind to reach by september and I'm not even close to reaching it!
  • I'm whollybologna on Ravelry
  • I got one from pinterest that I really like: "dead last is greater than not finishing which trumps did not start"
  • I wish I had seen this months ago when it was first posted! I did the colour me rad in Saskatoon and I was 8 mos pregnant at the time I'm so doing it again! (this time, sans the belly) I'm training to get my legs stronger and my stamina higher. I'm likely not going to run the whole thing, but I'm SO running again!! anyone…
  • Love this thread! I've added pumpkin to my gnocchi recipe to add fiber to it. My favorite recipes are pumpkin biscotti http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/pumpkin_biscotti/ i usually make it and send half of them to various friends but this year I'm making fudge :) http://www.recipegirl.com/2008/08/28/pumpkin-fudge/…
  • My husband and I are in small town saskatchewan but I was born in Toronto and we spent the early years of our marriage in St Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Before we moved here, there were drive by shootings down the road from my house. I thought it was a car backfiring the first night, because there was only one shot but…
  • Wow, I haven't thought about suicides in Ages! I'll do them tonight at the school before my bikeride :)
  • Whitney, don't give up! I relish in competition and I know what it's like to be behind, but weights plateau all the time. You can easily overtake your friend. As for encouraging; finally something I do on a near daily basis! (almost to the point of irritating my friends.) I love making people feel good about their…
  • I never know whar's going to happen one night to the next because of the 11 week old. So yeah, life is a curve ball. When I go away (especially to hotels)I check to see if they have a gym I can use. I have a gym I go to, but I tend to just walk (specifically with my little one), which I can do anywhere, and try to do…
  • My friend ate nothing but lettuce and water for 6 weeks. I have never seen a more *****y person in my life.
  • Has an awesome hubby! He went out and bought me an iPod touch so I could get this App! I've only done 30 minutes, but only because I had my 9 week old with me and it was too hot to even be out that long! (it's also the reason I had the zombies off) Soon I'll get healthy enough to run, but right now walking fast is all I…
  • Is now among those running from zombies. I'm runner five. Even tho I'm in not quite good enough shape to be running, I'm walking at a brisker pace and bringing my baby daughter along with me! (heaven forbid she get caught by the 'zoms'.) the story is interesting but I can only do 30 minutes at a time because the heat is…
  • I've recently fallen in love with this new product "mio". I recommend it. As for your issue with acids, I've frozen strawberry slices in ice cubes but even they have a citric acid in them. Blueberries don't however. I also recommend green tea which has no citric acid and can be chilled and sweetened with Splenda or honey…
  • What's a dip? I know what a tricep press is, but the dip is confusing.
