I have eaten 1200 calories per day since last May 2012 and lost 44lbs, I am 41, 5ft 3 with a fairly sedentary job, however I do enjoy Zumba and Body Combat classes 2 - 3 times a week. I do not eat my exercise calories back as I tend to keep the mindset that exercise just helps boost the metabolism rather than a literal…

You are very organised and I am glad to hear you eat similarly most days, I do too and it helps me keep on track. Thanks for the video will shamelessly copy some of your ideas :)

Scales can show different weights according to the floor surface they are on e.g. carpet vs tiles as they are not even. I have found my digital scales more accurate than others. Also as you will appreciate different clothes will weigh different weights so that will vary the weight shown as well. My best advice is to weigh…

When I am in the gym and feeling self conscious I just try and develop tunnel vision and see my goal at the end of it. Other people can say what they want and I can't stop them but they sure as hell aren't going to put me off getting to my goals. You go for it, it's your life, your body they can sort their small mindedness…

I find it so easy to use to log my food, the database is truly a modern marvel! Plus it is so great to have a supportive FL to celebrate successes and be nice when you are having a bad day. Best of all I am being sucessful and it is FREE no one is trying to sell me anything!!! This cannot be praised enough :)

Hi, my name is Miranda and I am a counsellor/therapist based in the UK. I am married with two children (9 and 12) and two cats. I have been a member for a while but thought I would join this group as I am in need of some new ideas so I don't get stale on this weight-loss journey. I love Zumba, martial arts workouts and…

I love Zumba and try to get to at least two classes a week at my gym. Don't worry about feeling out of time, it doesn't matter, just shake your booty and have fun. I have a emotionally difficult job and it is so good for getting rid of stress and releasing happy endorphins. When I can't get to the gym I do Zumba Rush on…

Hi everyone, Start weight - 167.4 20/11 - 164 26/11 - 163 3/12 - 161 .6 11/12 - 160.9 17/12 - 160 I'm pleased, its getting more difficult as I approach Xmas as I have dinners out and buffets etc, but I am doing my best. I will try and lose more but to be honest if I don't really gain much over the xmas period I will be…

Hi I am a counsellor in the UK and I am not sure of the procedure in Australia but in the UK I would recommend going to talk to your doctor and he would refer you to a specialist counsellor. In general to beat binge eating you might need to try and understand what triggers your binges. For some it is feeling emotionally a…

Hi everyone, Start weight - 167.4 20/11 - 164 26/11 - 163 3/12 - 161 .6 Lost 1 .4 lbs this week which I am pretty happy with. I want to have a good week this week as there are events starting to appear on my calender for Xmas so this might be the last straightforward week I have for a while. 6.2 lbs overall. Status -…

Hi everyone, Start weight - 167.4 20/11 - 164 26/11 - 163 Down a 1lb, which is not too bad. Thats 4.4lbs overall so far. Will need to keep focussed this week if I am to keep on track.

Hi everyone, Start weight - 167.4 20/11 - 164 I'm happy that is down 3.4 lbs since I started. I am doing well with the eating I just need to do some more exercise on my, inbetween-exercise-class-days, just to keep up my burn as I have a pretty sedentary job. I have two goals in mind, it would be awesome to hit 160 lbs and…

ABsolutely love the tiger quote by the way :) There is a product called Bio Oil that is very effective but I don't know where you are from, its available in the UK.

I've lost 34lbs and I'm not done yet. I started beginning of May, had a couple of setbacks with holidays, but yes it is a reasonable timeline. I started at a heavier weight than you though. Good luck. You can do it :)

I have days when I feel the same, it does seem to take the mind a long time to catch up with the body. Old thought patterns can hang around for ages. You may need to do some visualisations looking into the mirror, look at your body in the mirror through the eyes of someone who LOVES you (not you, sounds like imagining your…

I went when I was 18 with an ex-boyfriend and my best friend and her boyfriend. We both went as Janet, sexy undies and lab coats. Was an absolute blast and my boyfriend loved it or rather me as Janet!!! I know all the songs and had a rather frightening female friend who used to regularly make us dress up and act out the…
