  • i love quinoa! Its got the most protein out of any grain out there! And it soaks up any flavor you put in it whether you cook it with broth or make it a breakfast item and add raisins and a bit of juice.
  • I think they are definitely part of a good diet for a variety of reasons: They include extra protein (especially if you are exercising as protein is essential in rebuilding the body), can satisfy a chocolate craving, they help curb hunger, and they are conveinent. Look out for bars that have too much sugar though... I…

  • Hi! i'm a saltaholic. I love my buttery salty pop corn or chips and I salt my food too :( Although the sodium tracker has helped me immensly to cut back on sodium. Here is this article I found that may be interesting to you (I've also heard this information from my Nurtrition professor in college) There are several…
  • I seem to have a bad weekend every weekend :( I do great all during the week with eating clean and working out. But once the weekend comes, I'm on vacation mode. I slack off on exercise and I eat whatever I want (in moderation). Then on Monday i'm right back on track. We can't beat ourselves up, this is a process and we…

  • I'm the say way, so I feel your frustrations. Try to work out extra to compensate for the extra calories you eat. Instead of heading to the cabines/fridge, try to go for a walk or call a friend for a bike ride. This weekend I went for a run, then swam extra laps in the pool because I knew i would be snacking on pop corn…

  • Hi! I know that my body gets a good nights rest if I exercised with good intensity that day.
  • I've been missing the Breakfast Club for a long time :grumble:  I just have gotten into a staying up late waking up late for work routine that is killing my ambitions to work out early. I got up early and worked out a few times and REALLY liked the feeling I got and the fact that I didn't have to work out in the…
  • I have been interested in doing this cleanse for a long time, however I am worried that it would be difficult since you do not eat any solids for 3-7 days. Please share your experiences with the master cleanse.
  • I love Yerba Mate and it's a great pick me up! I can only suggest that to ween yourself off soda, try reading about the harmful effects it has on your body...that is usually a good motivator....I know it was for me. But I agree with others on this post, that weening is an individualized process. Do what works for you and…

  • I fell off hard this weekend too :grumble: However in my heart I knew not to beat myself up for it because it wasn't a permanent deal. I just have to keep a positive attitude and go through my mental motivation list and think about my great progress so far  Hang in there Jazzy! You're not alone...

So we…
