  • Finished it recently. I enjoyed it very much. Not as action packed as the Daredevil series but still good. I think David Tennant does a great job being a bad guy. I liked who they picked as a actor to play Luke Cage.
  • I work 3rd shift too. Unless you have some medical or health condition, it doesn't matter when you eat. I typically track midnight to midnight. I make sleep my #1 thing. I tend to overeat when I am tired to stay awake.
  • Water, coffee, getting up to walk around. Things like these helped me deal with working nights.
  • So I was supposed not be in tonight. Attending my gf's xmas work party late afternoon on Friday. I wanted to sleep and be fully rested and then get up Friday late morning like the daywalkers, visit the tailor guy and head over to Seattle. Coworker called in sick, it's 2am and here I am. I have to get my suit tailored (…
  • I wasn't completely invisible. I was a pretty big guy standing at 6'3 and nearly 500lbs. People notice and would get out of the way when they saw me coming. When it comes to the dating and romance department, I was invisible to women. I rarely flirt, I'm shy and a mild introvert. My limited interaction from women for the…
  • Don't have kids of my own but I was a only child growing up and was spoiled to an extent. I echo the sentiment about chores. I started around 5 with simple things. Cleaning my room, take out the trash. As I got older my responsibilities expanded. Both my parents worked full time so I contributed as I could even if I wasn't…
  • Great! I was a bit nervous so I had a couple of beers before hand to remove a little of the nervous edge.
  • I ate too much on Thanksgiving, mainly protein things like turkey, ham, salmon, and prime rib. The following night the idea of eating anything meat related turned me off. Instead of leftovers, I mostly had some light veggies yesterday at work. I think I will have the left overs tonight though as I don't want the food to go…
  • This is correct
  • It's been over 4 weeks for me but that's just the gym. I still get in 5-10 miles a week of walking/light jogging
  • On a semi-related note, holy spammage! I had to dig through a few pages to find this thread. Recent Topics is about 4 pages of 95% spam.
  • I got a good 5 hrs of sleep in and it's the weekend. Weekends are typically slow at my job making things a little easier. Next week is going to be fun though. I have 3 Thanksgiving gatherings I get to attend in less than a 24 hr period. First one is a Thanksgiving potluck at work on Thursday at 1AM. 2nd Thanksgiving with…
  • To be fair, it's a nice dog and hoodie.
  • Growing a beard for the month of November aka NoShavember. Bought beer the other afternoon at my local Trader Joes and did not get asked for ID! I always get asked if I am clean shaved or have light stubble but this is a first for me.
  • I haven't either. Was going to a few weeks ago when I was in the area of Seattle but my friends decided to hit up a local bar instead. Kind of glad I didn't with the recent E.coli out break causing all of the Chipotle's in OR and WA to close down recently.
  • @belimawr good luck with the new shift! Slow night tonight. I hope I finish early so I can go home and nap. Had to deal with Comcast earlier in the day and now I have a mild headache.
  • Watched this the other day. Hilarious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Nvg0LwWeTU How Deadpool spent Halloween
  • and it just gets...interesting
  • Ran across this on the internet a couple of days ago! Pizza from a place in Brazil.
  • I don't really follow the whole horoscope/astrology stuff but I do agree with some of it. I am a Taurus and as my exes would all ascertain, I am quite stubborn. XD
  • Yes and being a comic book nerd plus Underarmour's Alter Ego line up of workout clothes, I am pretty much broke. XD
  • At work and people brought in a bunch of food. Someone made chicken and mushroom enchiladas. 2 other people made chili with meat and bits of corn. I got a piece of enchilada and then doused it with the 2 types of chili. I was going to get a slice of pie but I don't know if I can stay awake enough to enjoy it now zzzzzzz
  • I am taking Saturday off from work to go to a live play of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at one of my local theatres with my gf. Also my work wants to do a Halloween themed pot luck on Friday night. It should work out great. Food then coma from said food, sleep food off Saturday during day then the play Saturday night.
  • I was almost 100 lbs more than you when I began a few years back. Walking is all I did when I started. I did short distances 1 to 2 miles and increased my distance and pace over time as I got fitter. I don't know if others mentioned it previously but investing in a good pair of shoes helps a ton. I also run now but when I…
  • I've seen that one. Pretty hilarious. Speaking of running, I've tried to sign up for their Oatmeal themed 5K races in the past. They are pretty popular and sell out really fast.
  • I have worked night shift for nearly 5 years, have steadily lost the past 3 years. I didn't jump on the weight loss and fitness wagon until nearly 2 years into working graveyard. For me the #1 factor in succeeding is sleep. I have a consistent sleep schedule I keep when I work, 2/3PM to 10:30PM. I've found that when I have…
  • I've met the artist at Seattle's Comic-con before. He's from my area and he's a pretty cool guy.
  • Today I just discovered Geeks Who Drink tv show on SyFy! 2 teams that compete against each other in various geek centric trivia and games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYNCWiFfHWo
  • I live West of Seattle in Kitsap and I agree, it's very beautiful here but Seattle is very ugly at times with traffic. My gf lives right in the thick of it. Typically her commute to work from her place is 15 mins with light traffic. A few weeks ago due to some accidents and it being a Friday, it took her 2 hrs. Other than…
  • I just track midnight to midnight. Regardless of when I wake up and go to sleep.
