  • Hi! I'd like to join your group. I'm a very slow starter, who's only lost a couple of pounds since May. Does age really factor into how quickly pounds can be lost? This is my first real attempt to lose weight in about 10 years.

  • Wow! I just went to the exercise TV site to see what was there. I think I saw that there were 106 full length workouts, plus who knows how many mini workouts and combos. Thanks! This will be a great way to try a few different programs!:smile:

  • Keep telling yourself that at least you are getting healthier. You may need to reenter your goals at your new weight to see if that changes your recommendations for calories. Get out the tape measure for more proof of fitness.

  • Marm, I love to see those ounces as well. I feel like I'm accomplishing something with all my careful eating!:happy: I'd also like to hear the pro vs. con on weighing daily or weekly. I gain weight very quickly.

  • I weigh daily in the early mornings before I get into the shower. For those of you that weigh only weekly, aren't you afraid of gaining weight before noticing? I swear I can gain three permanent pounds in a weekend, which then take a while to remove. Think of how easy it is to gain over Thanksgiving or Christmas.

  • Is there an alternative to sit-ups? They make my back ache. But I really do need to work on my stomach muscles so that maybe they'll support my poor back. H-mm. Catch 22.
  • Well, after all the suggestions, I bit the bullet(no calories) and went to Wal-Mart. I bought a Health-O-Meter Weight Tracking Scale on sale for $24.88. You can program it with 4 users(height, weight, goal) and it mathematically figures a BMI(Yikes), so all of the family at home currently can become a user! The old scale…
