I have horribly dry skin in the winter. I've taken to either mixing a bit of baby oil with my lotion OR applying baby oil to my wet sking right out of the shower, then air dry. Simply using lotion does't work for me- I'd be flaking by lunch. After a few weeks of this, I noticed that on days that I skip moisturizing (the…

I agree. Its rather tedious to type out the same things again and again....

I would sub one for one. It may be slightly less dense, but the flavor wouldn't be too terribly different given the other strong flavor of the other ingredients. Honestly though, between the amount of sugar in the oreos and the confectioner's sugar, why bother with the swap? Its still pretty high in calories/carbs. You may…

Today's menu: Breakfast: Bulletproof coffee (hazelnut coffee + unsweetened cocoa = Nutella flavor without all the extra calories. Yummm!!!) Lunch: Low carb crepes with (Splenda) sweetened cream cheese and berries Dinner: Tilapia seasoned with lemon pepper with zoodles (zucchini noodes) tossed in garlic butter on the side.…

I too am a fan of making my own. I eat lower in carbs, so I make LC versions of cookies, etc. To help with making them too big, I use a tablespoon scoop to keep the portions even (which means when I plug the recipe in on MFP, the portion is true to size). As for what I like to snack on: Homemade Choc Chip Cookies Berries…

I just bought two of the Ikea milk frothers (approx $7.50 ea) from Amazon. Guaranteed delivery tomorrow! I can't wait to try it out. I love my BPC, but it'll be nice to not have as much of an oil slick on top of my coffee anymore.

You put the strap UNDER your breasts, not across them. I'm a very generous DD and have no issue with my chest strap.

I don't bother arguing or defending my eating style anymore. I just smile, nod, and watch them continue to complain about weight gain, bloating, etc.

Starting in 2002, I went low carb and lost over 150lbs. I didnt exercise at first, but once I was able to move more easily, I started walking, lifting weights etc. Exercise definitely helps firm you up and tone, not to mention its good for you. You can be skinny and still be flabby! Find something you enjoy and…

Yep, they're the same. I usually buy whole flax seed and freeze it. When I need flaxmeal for a recipe, I just grab the amount I need and run it through a spice grinder to turn it into meal/flour. This is more cost effective for me and only takes a moment or two.

My goals for 2014 are: 1. Lose the 40lbs that I've regained of my original 150+lb loss. 2. Maintain a BMI of 24 or less. 3. Maintain a weight range of 135-145lbs 4. Exercise at least 30 minutes, 5-6x per week. 5. Work toward financial stability (debt free, increase income, etc). For each of those goals, I have monthly…

Just grab some daikon from the produce department (it kinda resembles a thick white carrot), peel, and julienne into noodle strips. With the zucchini, I half the time I don't bother peeling it, I use the skin and all. Edited to add: Just to give you a comparison of zucchini noodles vs. regular pasta noodles: Calories: 200…

I had my Mirena IUD implanted and had pretty bad cramping the rest of the day. I was fine by the next day, but the first day I wouldn't plan on doing much else besides taking Tylenol while curling up in bed cussing.

Thanks! I'm having fun with it so far. I even got a coworker so interested that she ordered the program too.

Hi there! I lost 150+lbs about 9 years ago and maintained for over 8 years. Unfortunately, I let bad habits, stress, etc let poor eating creep back in. I've gained 35-40lbs that I'd like to drop again. What works for me? 1. Lower carb (SUGAR) intake. I don't eat more than 50g of total carbs per day. So what DO I eat? I…

Zucchini "noodles" are also a great pasta replacement.

Daikon "noodles" instead of pasta noodles are a great swap as well. I make a really tasty low carb, low calorie ginger chicken "noodle" soup using daikon. I always have to make a double batch if I want any leftovers! I use almond flour in place of all-purpose flour to lower my carb count in baking. Yes, it increases…

I think the husband angle is a little odd, BUT the idea of cash as an incentive is a motivator. I had an employer that had a wellness program. To kick it off, they offered $1 for every pound lost. They also allowed 30 minutes of company time (no need to clock out or use your lunch/breaks) to walk or exercise. There was a…

Same thought, but you're a tad faster, Bitten!

Would something like these portable bike pedals work for you? http://www.amazon.com/Conquer-Folding-Exercise-Resistance-Electronic/dp/B00EYFQ0NI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390320518&sr=8-2&keywords=portable+bike+peddler

I have the same problem and I love how I feel eating LCHF. It is a mindset that has been ingrained (for me) for over 3 decades. Its not easy to retrain the brain, but I'm trying!

I'm going to have to give the protein powder addition a try!

I've got one word for you: Ugh!!!
