Resetting! I had a bad eating day last night and I am NOT going to let that get me down or set the tone for this weekend!

Reset! You are going to get no where focusing on regain...focus on losing and making a new start :)

I work with people that are pretty health conscious and a few that just do NOT care. The ones that do not care make comments to me about my routine lunch and water intake and it does not bother me. You just have to see past those that do not have a commitment to themselves or health. I will not let someone pee on my…

When you're frustrated like this...stay off the scale! you lose inches, too. don't let those numbers define you. there really is no other option because backsliding will only make you feel worse :( push on!

Feel free to add me! :)

Portion control and actually being aware of caloric intake! :)

Well, because it's easier to quit than to keep fighting for some.

I'd say go for it. I felt this way in the spring of 2011 and finally went for it and joined eharmony. I had lost a lot of weight and just found it hard to meet people. First date, after a week of being on the site, I met the man that turned out to be the one I'd be spending the rest of my life with! We are getting married…

What's done is done. Don't dwell on it. Just do what you can to make today better! Best of luck :)

I truly find motivation and inspiration in other people. I have had so many low days, but when I see someone just hang in there and fight the fight, I get new motivation to keep on going. This has happened SO many times in my journey.

I'll be giving up pop :( I just have about one per day, but I used to live on it and I've been having it more than usual lately. I need to break the habit before it gets really out of hand.

I think it varies from person to person. For me, I need to eat every couple of hours or my blood sugar crashes. I have gotten used to having 3 meals and 2 snacks everyday. I also make sure I drink enough water, too.

Wonderful suggestion! Flat Outs are my answer to my love for pizza! I eat them at least a few times a week and I have mastered it so that they really do have the taste and flavor of the regular high fat/cal pizza I used to eat all the time.

It's the only way I can keep myself in check. Whether I enjoy it or not, I have to have some accountability to what I put in my mouth! It's also a great reality check when you realize how much calories can be in certain foods and inspires you to find better options!

My office is overstocked with food, snacks, etc. Learn to say NO! Pack your own snacks, find healthier alternatives. Hang in there!

You're drinking too many of your calories and watch refined carbs and sodium. Best of luck to you!

Start with small, achievable goals. If you try to do too much, if can be overwhelming and you will get discouraged. Also, come here for support! :) everyone starts somewhere. best of luck!

Food and tempting items are going to be everywhere always, so you need to learn self control.

I'm sorry things didn't go your way, but thank you for this advice. I am really happy with the way things are developing for us and my MIL is nice, and she said she doesn't want to be monster in law. lol. it's just new for all of us really but I think we've found a nice middle ground :)

I didn't want the big huge reception (didn't want big thing with a dj, dance party). That also came down to sticking to a budget, and just seeing the number go up and up (at nearly $50 per person) made me sick. We are going to have about 100 people, but it will be appetizers, light lunch menu

Yeah, that's why I skipped those shows. I knew I preferred the smaller size and those shows cater to the bigger is better weddings, so I didn't bother with any of them. Etsy and The Offbeat Bride.com (Seconded!), however, were great sources of inspiration.
I am noting offbeatbride.com! sounds up my alley. it was…

I know, right. I felt the need to wrap it up though. It's life, sometimes you just really need advice and that's exactly what I got and I appreciate that.
-
I did, sorry!
-
thank you :) we are cancelling our original reception place, which was a major stresser for melots and lots of expense there. With the church lunch reception, we can cater in appetizers, still have a cake, toasts, and not be STRESSED about the size of the guestlist--my reason for going the other direction with small and…
As for feeling like a failure for not wanting bells & whistles - the wedding industry is designed to do that. It is all about getting you to spend spend SPEND because if your wedding day isn't PERFECT your life will be OVER. OVAH!!! :/
YES...and that was the vibe at this bridal place that made me sick…

LOL! we would like presents, I am not gonna lie! :) I love your points, and we are moving towards that. Things are going to be fine! :)
-
Exactly! :) we are on the right track now. I don't want a nightmare reception, I"m sorry that happened for you!

^^^^I could not agree with you more! :)

Thank you! :) First one I can reply to now! ;)

Ugh.....can somone explain how to follow up on individual posts? not only can I make a decision about my own wedding, I cannot figure out how to do individual replies! ;) I need to set a precedence NOW that this is our wedding, our day when it comes to how my MIL wants things done. I want simple and easy. I want a…
