I havenβt used these but other people swear by the apps that βtrendβ your weight. I am sure they can recommend some. It takes the edge off the normal ups and downs.

These are some great ideas, some of them I have never tried before and will try. For myself, some things that sometimes work for me: take time for myselfβsometimes that means a walk or swim, or reading an escapist book (fantasy, romance, mystery), watching something silly on tvβ¦ They donβt always work, which is why I mightβ¦

I too am kicking myself for not doing it earlier, and I am only halfway to goal! I think I doubted myself and one thing I have gotten from these message boards is that lots of people are successful! I started eating a lot less sugar and generally cut out potato chips. Without those two (big) things my diet was basicallyβ¦

One thing that helps me sometimes is writing down my to-do list for the next day right before I go to sleep. I think sometimes my brain is just a little βtoo fullβ of thoughts.

Resetting my starting weight was definitely the easiest solution for me!

I find reading the boards helpful. You donβt need to join a group to do that (although there are some good groups, you could check out Guys On A Diet or some of the monthly goal threads). There is lots of wisdom on the boards. What you have going for youβyou like to hike, you want to lose weight, maybe your husband doesβ¦

There are some protein bars that are dairy free and rely on fruits as a sweetener. Maybe you could try one of those.

I agree, talk to your doctor! Also if you havenβt tried additional (complementary) activities like therapy, EMDR, yoga, journalingβthose may allow you to reduce your dose even if you stay on the same medication.

Did you use the MFP calculator? Start with your age height and weight and how active you are and how much you want to lose. And then work the plan.

Have you talked to a doctor about this?

For me, if I am really hungry it is probably because I am not eating things that fill me up. And cutting out most sugar made a big difference in my satisfaction levels. Good luck!

Mine is open to friends, so friend me!

I am 18 pounds down (not quite halfway to goal) but I have been able to totally get off my heartburn/GERD medication (omeprazole)!

There are some simple yoga poses that I find calmingβchildβs pose, legs up the wall. Also simple breathing exercises (you can read about them or use an app like Insight Timer). At my last big panic attack I hand wrote on a notepad all of my worries. Didnβt read it over, recycled it right away but felt much better. I alsoβ¦
