I was doing a new yoga program, and my nine-year-old daughter happened to be camped in the living room, so I told her no matter what, if I fell over, she wasn't allowed to laugh at me. And I did, and she didn't laugh, and it was awesome. So the next time I pulled out that same dvd, she looks at me and says "Mom? Can I…

I'm totally sold on my Vibrams. I've been able to run in them when I haven't been able to run in decades. You DO need to do the breaking in period, however. The Vibram website has a "getting started" section that talks about the stretches and such that they recommend you do before wearing the shoes (the instruction manual…

Well, sometime in the midst of all that, my levels went all out of whack, and I spent most of 2011 trying to get that under…

I will throw in another vote for Vibrams, but also reiterate that they aren't for everyone. I do know that I have always had bad knees, and in the Vibrams, with the different barefoot stride they advocate, I have been able to actually run for the first time since high school.

Short background: I had thyroid cancer when I was 29, so I no longer have a thyroid at all. In the process of figuring out what my dosage would need to be, I had all the symptoms like you describe, but my TSH was just where my doctor (oncologist) wanted it to be. So he kept telling me that my cold intolerance was "because…
