I use this too - I love my sandwiches, eat one every day.

I do. The previous suggestions are good (I can't do liver though ~shudder~). I've also been taking carbonyl iron because it is supposed to be easier on stomach - so far I'm not having issues with it like I did with ferrous sulfate. As mentioned, take with Vit C as it helps with iron absorption. ***Calcium inhibits iron…

I'm not sure what's in your area, but Friendship brand makes a no salt added - and you can tell it, lol

Wait - are we talking about cottage cheese or cream cheese? I've used those flavors in Philadelphia cream cheese. If it is indeed cottage cheese, however, I'm so jealous!! We don't have anything like that here!

Excellent! Great work!

I actually have one, and that's a great suggestion about the drinks-thank you!

I am just now 2 weeks off my first attack & it was horrendous. I am just now getting my digestive system back in order and frankly am somewhat afraid to eat. I did the broth, gelatin, cream soups, I even resorted to baby food to get some nutrition in, lol. Definitely easing from liquids into foods slowly while intestines…

Thanks for posting this. I was just listening to Helms/Lee on a Biolayne podcast this morning.

Since now "they say" coffee is good for the heart and can possibly lower risk of heart attacks, I guess mine as a pre-workout saved my life! Amazing! Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. In the Nutrition Debate board you have the burden of proof if you make such claims.

Do what now?! *spoken in my thick Southern drawl* OP, personal preference for me. When I'm up at 4:30am, I lift fasted (aside for a couple of cups of coffee) and there's no way I could eat anything beforehand. Today I couldn't workout until 12:30 and I increased weight so I needed to eat prior to give me some energy - no…

When I can, I listen to Nia Shanks. I'd love other suggestions too so following....

Are you able to balance yourself and not use your arms at all? Or just use your one good arm? If so, do it!

Unless the OP is prepping for a bodybuilding contest, I'm not sure this is optimum for him/her - personal preferences & abilities need to be taken into account as well. OP, what are your goals? Are you currently exercising (how much and what type)? What type of foods do you like to eat and what does your current diet…

As asked previously, where is any protein? With trying to lose 70 lbs with walking & no resistance training combined with very little protein, you stand to lose more muscle along with fat.

Haha, do what now? My 6yo Aussie shep/ border collie mix can easily do minimum 3 miles a day plus extra play time. If it weren't for her I wouldn't be out as much as I am - but if I don't she's such a brat.

This - like these a lot, great nutritional profile imo. 93/7 ground beef, chicken breast, sliced deli meat for sandwiches, cottage cheese, salad vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, Publix reduced calorie wheat bread, Joseph's honey wheat flatbreads, canned vegetables, shredded cheese, eggs, Hungry Jack protein pancake mix.

I make a crustless quiche 1-2x a week as a quick grab breakfast for me & my husband. Each portion is 250-300 cals each depending on what I put in it & we usually put it on a light English muffin.

I'm somewhat surprised being that BB.com is where I first got it that eating right before bed was ok, we must have been on different boards. It's also a very individual thing - if it doesn't bother someone's stomach or sleep patterns to eat before bed then they can. If it does bother stomach & sleep patterns then they…

Today was Chick Fil A grilled market salad. Yesterday was Burger King double cheeseburger with added lettuce, tomato & onion.

It depends on your macros & goals, really - for me (building muscle, recomp) things like cottage cheese & greek yogurt, meats, protien powders are the best protein bang for the caloric buck so to speak. My breakfast this morning will be garlic cheese grits with 3oz ground beef. I consider nuts & nut butters more for a fat…

I make cornbread dressing & cook separately. In and around the bird I put onion, lemon, apple, celery & sage/rosemary/thyme.

I'll make quiche with various additions, whatever I'm in the mood for (maple or smoked ham, bacon, cheese, onions, green pepper, mushrooms, tomatoes), an 8x8 dish gives me 6 servings...sometimes I'll share with hubby. Add some fruit & I'm full until lunch. Ground beef, onion, cream cheese in a honey-wheat flatbread. I love…

That is fabulous!! Keep it going, awesome progress!

Fabulous - happy to see this thread! I was just thinking about hunting through sites since it's the season I start cooking more & I want some new recipes.

Definitely visit the above mentioned group, it's very helpful. My takeaway from it is 1. Log food in MFP 2. You don't have to log step-based exercise, the FitBit already does that 3. Log elliptical (or whatever non-step based exercises) in FitBit, everything will sync up. I'm still learning the other…

I was just about to post this exact thing. Now that I've lost the weight my before pics are 1 tool of motivation to keep it off.
